OK people people people - it seems we do not all know that Fiber Optic cables
come shipped with protective caps on the ends that should be removed prior to installation.
So many reviews with, "bad cable wouldn't stay connected" or "Cheaply made and falls out" or
"it fit in one device but not the other"...Uh fitting in one device but not the other is a
function of the design of your device not the cable right? I mean think about it... if the cable fits
in one device but not the other , the cable hasn't changed...your device has...right??
I also liked the comment that the cable seemed "flimsy" or "delicate" - It's a thin filament fiber optic
cable, it's supposed to be highly flexible.
I had a feeling, after reading many cable reviews for many different manufacturers ranging from $3 to $20
online and seeing they were all saying pretty much the same thing, that this just might be the case so
I decided to take the couple dollar risk and just see if I was correct.
When the cable came, it was exactly the case. I pulled the little protective end off and it clicked right into place.
With the little protective end on the cable....it would not stay clicked in place...felt loose and like it was about
to fall out of the socket.
So everyone rest easy...
Do Not Purchase ANY cables from your local stores at $20 or $30+ dollars a piece.
These Digital Optical cables do come with little "nipples" or caps and yes the caps really do look as if they
are part of the cable assembly and might not come off, but these caps are easily removed with your fingers.
The cable is high quality, very flexible and easily routes through an entertainment center if needed.
I've purchased (3) of these now, and at under $3/each with free shipping, it was a great choice.
These really are excellent quality and allows my home theater to produce outstanding quality sound.
