Customer Review: Works great on my Mac Mini

I got this hoping that it would allow me to use my ancient IBM Model M keyboard with my Mac Mini. Well, it works great and I am using the keyboard at this very moment to write this review.
Installation on my Mac couldn't have been simpler. I literally plugged it in, went through the Mac's "unrecognized keyboard" wizard (10 seconds of effort there) and it was up and running.
Although there are indeed more modern versions of this keyboard (made by Unicomp) with its familiar loud clicks and excellent tactile feedback, mine is a true original IBM version from about 1987. As such, there are no keys equivalent to Apple's "Command" key, or in a Windows context, the "Windows" key. However the Mac's System Preferences app allowed me to map the "Caps Lock" key (which I never use, and neither should most people!) to the "Option" key and the "Alt" keys to "Command." This solves 99% of my keyboard needs.
The only quirk I've seen on my Mac setup so far is that the Num Lock light doesn't come on, but since the numeric keypad works anyway I don't really mind.
For the heck of it, I also connected a PS/2 mouse to the Mac, which also worked instantly with no messing about. This saves me a USB port, since the device has two PS/2 ports (keyboard and mouse obviously) and needs only one USB to do it.
All in all, this device worked perfectly and for a whopping $11 I am using my favorite keyboard and a Microsoft mouse...ironic since I got the Mac Mini to replace a Windows computer. ;-)
