Intuitive, Affordable, customizable, no monthly fee, never get lost, find cool stuff in your state, what are you waiting for ????I bought this exact TomTom at WalMart for $150, it was totally worth it!
It's intuitive, anyone can use it, children, elderly, YOU
It's customizable, there is free software available from TomTom's website that you can download to totally customize your TomTom (for free) - I remove all the sounds and add many points of interest (POI) so I can find all the lighthouses and curious attractions in Maine, not to mention state and national parks.
Whatever you're in to you can download it to add to your GPS - lighthouses, historic buildings, state and national parks, amusement parks, restaurants , stores, churches, strip clubs, anything really.
And there is a ton of user created POI, also you can create your own POI.
Rock on! I will never go on a trip without my beloved TomTom, since I got it I have discovere3d so many wonderful places to visit in my state! And I will never get lost :)
TomTom is the best consumer invention since the toaster!

TomTom, Third Edition, is shirt pocket small and light, very loud voice, bright enough to follow in day-light. With a high speed internet and computer, it is easily updateable for free. We put in only an address and it told us the route and name of an art house theater 50 miles away. After four freeway changes, we arrived in the city and it directed us to three restaurants within walking distance and tracked us as we walked in a forest of tall buildings. The fact that it tells you the distance to turn right or left surprised me and made me a believer that 'turn at street name' would not be good, but a minus. You can never see street signs. Driving in heavy traffic gives you no time to decide if this upcoming 'named street' is the one you want. It even took us on a traffic bypass I would not have known about, we bypassed a congested traffic signal, on this eight lane road. WOW! One thing I haven't seen mentioned is because it is clearly telling you what to do; you are able to remember where to turn on the way back without using the TomTom.
Con: Bright enough, but screen could be brighter in day-light. Battery life could be longer.

If you are searching for an excellent gps system, don't hesitate to buy this item. This is a wonderful product. Just used it on a recent trip to South Carolina, and I loved it! It was very easy to set my route. It showed the approximate amount of time that the trip would take; approximate arrival time. However, the time would vary because of traffic or by taking numerous stops. Taking this into consideration, I found it to be pretty accurate. It told me if I had made a wrong turn, and if so, it guided me back to the correct route. The visual picture of the route on the monitor was very helpful. By looking at the picture, it helped me to know whether or not I was to turn. Unfamiliar with certain distances(ex. 500 yds.), this was very beneficial. The Tom Tom made my trip more stress-free because I didn't have to look at a map, or follow someone's bad directions. There are so many positives to buying this item: Easy setup; clear, strong voice commands; great picture; just the right size; easy to navigate from one screen to another. I highly recommend this product. I don't think that you would be sorry if you bought it; just the opposite!Customer Review: So many good features, so little price

I had a Magellan Roadmate for 2 years. I couldn't believe how much this little thing did for just $150 at RadioShack.
Very customizable. Fits in my pocket (even with the mount attached). Connect it to the web for updates, traffic, gas prices and more.
I didn't need a manual- even without buttons it was easy to operate right from the start.
I love that it has a rechargable battery.
I love that the included mount is so versatile. I bought a $30 extra mount and then took it back because I didn't need it.
I love that you can switch from 2D to 3D.
I didn't think I'd like 3D, but I do.
You can show speed, direction, time remaining, actual time, distance to destination and several other things. Don't like those, then customize your view.
Who'd have thought you could get all this for $150?
The only thing that keeps me from giving it 6 stars is that I can't figure out how to program "routes" (from one destination to the next). Well, okay, Amazon only lets you give 5 stars...

I received this today and had it up and running in 5 minutes. Programming it is very easy. I gave it 5 stars because it delivers on everything it promises.

>VOICE DIRECTIONS ARE LOUD ENOUGH AND ACCURATE (NOTE VOICE DIRECTIONS DON'T GIVE STREET NAMES.. JUST "TURN RIGHT", BUT THAT'S ALL THEY ADVERTISED AND I FOUND IN MY TEST RIDE TODAY IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT MUCH. I DIDN'T HAVE TO LOOK AT THE SCREEN AT ALL IF I DIDN'T WANT TO.)

HONESTLY, I DON'T SEE ANY CONS WITH THIS DEVICE. I PAID $160.00 FOR A GPS THAT DOES EVERYTHING I NEED IT TO DO. THAT'S AWESOME!
