I love my new TT 140S. I love it even more that Amazon mis priced it at $149 at the time of purchase. The new black bezel is very attractive. The GUI is very intuitive. Free map update is a plus too. The initial set up was a breeze. A few clicks here and there and you're off on your road trip. I compared it with Garmin GPS. Theire map looks too cartoonish. It's like watching a cartoon on a small TV. Overall, I'm very please with my TT 140S.Customer Review: Tom Tom Review

This is my second purchase of a Tom Tom. I upgraded to one that speaks street names. Install the maps was a 2 day process. 4 hours of downloading each time (3 times) The memory of the gps wouldn't handle the download so, during the download I got an error message that the memory was full. After repeated calls to tech support, deleting some files, the download finalied. Now I LOVE it, but the process of downloading was difficult.Customer Review: Excellent GPS

This is my first GPS system and it works better than I thought it would. With an automated voice you can get lane guidance and street names read out loud. The IQ routes seem to get me off highways and busy roads as soon as possible. Installation was easy and now I never leave home without it. Glad I didn't shell out the extra $100 for a Magellan. Bought thus TomTom on a whim - recently took it on an out of state trip and found it worked quite well to navigate through unfamiliar cities. Very easy to take with you or switch from one car to another - and easy enough for my granddaughter to program - don't know about other types, but we've been pleased with our buy for the cost of this one.Customer Review: this "-S" model is worth the extra $20

this model tells u what street to turn onto - ie instead of just hearing, "after 500 yards, turn right" this one says, "after 500 yards, turn right, WARWICK ROAD." Makes the thing much easier to use - you don't have to glance at the screen at funny intersections to see which way to go. Definitely worth the extra $20 for the "-S" model.
