I bought the TomTom One 140S to replace my old unit (an original TomTom One). Suffice to say, I couldn't be happier! I love that the voice speaks street names (although it does mispronounce them at times), and the advanced turn features are a welcomed addition. I travel a lot, and I recently put the 140S through its paces on the east coast throughout CT and, later, FL. It didn't fail me once: No weird directions, no satellite signal drops, no nuthin'. It just worked, and it got me where I needed to go safely and quickly. Best of all, it has tons of features packed into a small device that's easy to carry, pack, and set up. I am from a small town that does not even have one traffic light, I used this to go to a doctor appointment in Hilliard, Ohio and it told me verbally every turn to take to go straight to the doctors office without any problems at all! My daughter and I think this is a awesome product and it also has many other features as well. When I bought this, I had already checked out alot of different GPS models, I L@@KED for the features I wanted along with the price and we think this one is awesome!

What a great little product. Easy to use and gets you where you're going. One word of caution, I would still have a map handy for long trips just in case you lose signal. It doesn't happen very often but as with all GPS systems, it does happen. This one has a lot of points of interests and recovers fairly quickly if you deviate from your route. The only negative I would say is the voice that you use for street names is annoying and mispronounes the street names which can get confusing. Other than that I love this unit and even bought one for my little sis.Customer Review: Best buy of the year!

I bought a Tomtom GPS a few years ago...the newest model, was around $500...and this small and compact model is by far a better investment at a fraction of the cost. I read about it in Consumer Reports and thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did too. The only drawback is the smaller screen, but it's not really a problem when you consider the cost and over all features. It's great for those who travel a lot and need something small to carry. I bought this unit for my birthday in July after doing several hours of research on different ones online.I used it on a few road trips with my 9 year old son..took us right to where we were going.my husband then got a new job that requires him to drive to different stores all over GA and he took it,I have yet to get it back.We love it and wouldn't trade it for any of the fancier units with all the bells and whistles.Get the tomtom140s and you will be happy with it!!!
