This is exactly what I hoped it would be. Very simple to use. Having the mount integrated into the unit is good because theives have started looking for cars with GPS mounts on the windshield and breaking in assuming that the unit is stashed in the console. Also, I got this one over the garmin because my speedometer is not calibrated correctly and the tomtom displays your speed on the same screen as the maps; with the nuvi you have to go to a separate screen to see your speed. Occasionally the routes this thing comes up with aren't the best ones that I know of but this is very rare and I am giving it 5 stars.Customer Review: Its the one you want...

The TomTom 125 is the perfect GPS system. You can get all the bells and whistles with other TomTom models, but if you just want to hop in the car and go anywhere in the US, this is the one to get. It talks and directs you, it just doesn't tell you the street names. You probably don't want to talk on your phone through it either like you can with the other models. I'm telling you, this is the perfect GPS system for you or your Mom or Dad or kids. Go to TomTomUSA.com and watch the videos they have. Its so simple and easy to use. There's really nothing to it. We're not big travelers, but my boyfriend has been talking about a GPS unit for months. He hasn't had the opportunity to use it far from home yet, but he has used it in going to places where he already knew the route and has been impressed that the unit almost always takes what he considers to be the most efficient route. He is excited about using it more for our frequent motorcycle excursions since we tend to go to more "off the beaten path" places. We are still determining what accessories are appropriate for us. The GPS is a fantastic tool and gift for my girlfriend that travels around the rural parts of illinois. She doesn't call me to google her directions over the phone anymore!
The only drawback is that you need to allow 2-3 minutes after turning on the GPS so it can callibrate your position between where you were (when you turned off GPS) and where you currently are. Not a lot of time, but 2-3 minutes can mean a lot if you're on the freeway trying to find your exit. Plug in with ample time!

For me, this GPS is worth its weight in gold!! I never leave home without it and for less than $100 it's a bargain.
It's easy to use and will get you where you need to go. I was so impressed that I bought 3 more for each of my kids!
Maybe it doesn't have the most up-to-date maps, maybe it doesn't have all the features of other systems but it also doesn't have the high price tag either.
If all you want is to know how to get places, then this $100 unit is all you need.
