I purchased the converter after reading various online reviews and clearly made a great choice. The setup was very easy and the feature set is fantastic. I have two TVs in the house that will need conversion, but figured I'd start with one converter box to make sure I'd like it. I've now ordered another one for the other TV.
The picture quality is great. It has cleaned up the snow from the analog broadcasts and makes viewing much more enjoyable. I'm using unamplified rabbit ears that we've been using for years and they now work better through the converter than ever before.
Highly recommended.

We have a friend with no on-line access, so I ordered two for us, and then he had us buy two for him. We are (all) very satisfied. We don't need ours at home because we have two recently purchased digital TVs but we plan to use the converters in our travel trailer (one for the bedroom and one for the living room) with old sets. On Facebook, I mentioned that folks with travel trailers often use older TVs and probably haven't thought of the need for a converter. I was hit with a bunch of folks who realized they hadn't taken that into consideration. This is the last month for the coupons. Amazon has the best deal.Customer Review: Excellent Converter Box

Just simply, it is an excellent box. Intuitive installation and operation. Works perfectly. I read a lot of other folks reviews before buying this one and decided to skip the cheapest ones. Amazon sent them out (bought two) immediately and they were here in 48 hours using free shipping. By the way, the digital TV pictures are fantastic and the large number of channels available via over the air, free, broadcast is a big surprise. We bought these for secondary TVs in an office and spare bedroom, but let me tell you, I think cable and satellite are in for some competition, especially in these economic times.Customer Review: Tivax Converter Box - One of the Best!

I purchased the Tivax STB-T8 converter box for an analog TV that my son has in his bedroom. Prior to connecting this box he was just receiving TV signals with "rabbit ears" and some of the channels were snowy or UHF channels did not come in at all! Now not only is he receiving the digital signals, the picture quality makes his set seem like new again! Best of all, I purchased this converter box from Amazon and it was cheaper and better than a previous one I purchased from one of the big retailers! The Tivax is also highly rated by all of the comparison websites. You can't go wrong by purchasing this product!Customer Review: More than I expected

I got this box because Consumer Reports had it rated in the top tier of digitial converters. Now I know why- the converter pulls in a lot of channels and the picture is very clear, and never pixelated like I saw on a friends converter. Definitely recommend.
Some minor technical notes-
I live on the top (11th) floor of my apt. building and have my weak indoor $10 antenna on the balcony.
I have the converter plugged in via the redwhiteyellow A/V plugs (included).
The guide is not like the TV guide channel, you can only scroll through the guide for the channel you are on.
