Surprisingly good tone and versatile. This clock radio is everything I could have wanted and takes up half the space of my last one. I bought this for my dad for his birthday. It was what he wanted... and he absolutely loves it. You do need to use the book to set it, at least until you get used to it, but he loves the functions, the sound quality and it has a small footprint as well. I was looking for a digital readout clock to easily set radio stations on the correct frequencies. The dial tuners didn't always pickup a clear signal during certain times and it was frustrating to set alarm. This radio presets exact tuning for both am and fm. The clock radio and its functions are fine. My only improvement would be the four nature sounds they provide. At least a couple of the sounds could have been soft and soothing, which in my opinion they are not.
Otherwise, I'm very happy with this product.

I have had it for a year and love to fall asleep to the nature sounds. The alarm will slowly become louder with your choice of nature sounds or beep. I was shocked at the price of this machine on here. The sellers must not realize it sells for $29 at Walmart. Crazy!
