ALL I can say is that this product is AWESOME!!! I was searching for a cool alarm clock that had DIGITAL TUNER, EASY OPERATION, DISPLAY w/ DIMMING, GENTLE WAKING BUZZER,& DUAL ALARMS. After searching and searching online I decided on this model because it looked cool, had a small footprint, and was CHEAP!!! This model is EASY TO USE and is very reliable!
Here is a list of the cool things I like about this alarm clock:
1. Easy to read Display w/ 3 different dimmer settings
2. Buttons are placed so that it is easy to turn off alarm or
hit snooze in the dark when the alarm goes off in the am.
3. Digital Tuner! you can set 12 fm presets & 6 am. Reception is Great! I have had no problems tuning in any of the stations I listen to. (I live in the city)
4. Gentle Buzzer which gradually increases the buzzer sound when alarm goes off.
5. 3 different alarms! You can wake to either Buzzer, Radio, or Nature sounds. They are also EASY TO SET!!!
6. 7-5-2 Alarm Settings...You can set each alrm to go off Mon-Fri only, Weekends only, or Everyday.
7. Nature sound thing is neat if you like that kinda thing, but I don't really use it.
8. SLEEP Feature with SEPERATE volume control! You can fall asleep to nature sounds, or the radio and set the volume independently of the "alarm volume".
9. Small Size & Cool looking style.
You cant go wrong with this alarm clock!

If you're the type whose fists slam down on the clock each morning, this is not the clock for you. Rough handling degrades the reliability of anything electronic. Once the radio wakes me up, I'll listen to the news for a few minutes and then silence the clock with a light tap of the top left button.
Other reviewers have noted that the controls are rather complex and non-intuitive. Not true! If your preferences are not overly anal or demanding, and you don't try to use every single feature, you will quickly memorize how to get it working.
I only use two of the three alarms, one for each job. On my day off, I don't want any alarm to bother me, so I don't use the third alarm. It's easy to set and adjust the alarm time: hold down button to get it to blink, push other buttons to move the time backward or forward, hold down button to set it, BEEP. You're done.
The radio pre-sets are also easy to setup and the digital tuner picks up AM stations 100 miles away; stations that my analog radios have difficulty receiving.
The only negatives are:
1) the nature sounds; I would rather wake up to the radio or the beeping.
2) you can't assign the radio to all three alarms. I don't see the logic of restricting alarm 1 to radio, alarm 2 to nature sounds, and alarm 3 to beeping.

I just picked up this clock today after purchasing at Amazon. This was a great pick. I looked at clocks for awhile, but didn't find anything I liked for around $30 bucks. That is, until I stumbled upon this Timex on Amazon.com. There are soo many good things about this alarm clock/radio.
First of all, since it's a upright clock, the space it takes up on my nightstand is minimal.
Second, this is a very easy to use Alarm clock. It took me about 5 minutes to set up everything, the time, the date, the alarms, and the preset radio stations.
Third, the reception for the digital tuner is exceptional!!! It picks up basically everything that I would want to pick up(since I live in Central New JErsey), it's picking up signals for my favorite stations from both Philly and NYC.
Fourth, I tested out the alarms, and they are great. Not too loud and not to quiet. Just enough to wake me up. Plus, it has 3 alarms!!! One of nature sounds, one radio and the buzzer alarm! I couldn't ask for anything more.
The only thing I wish Timex could change would be the size of some of the buttons, namely the radio preset buttons and I would like it better if they could move the volume control knob to the front of the alarm clock, instead of in the back.

This is just what I've been looking for in an alarm clock. The best thing is that you have 3 different alarm settings. So you can set it for week days and weekends. I use the other for my husband, since he works nights and it never bothers me. No more resetting the alarm clock before bed EVERY NIGHT. It has relieved a lot of problems for us! It also has a radio that works quite well. The stations come in clear and the sound is really good for such a little clock. The clock also has a backup battery that saves all of your settings if you loose power. I also enjoy the nature sounds. The meadow sound comes in handy when I need to relax.
The only negative thing I can say about it is that the alarm isn't all that loud. You get to set the level, I'm just used to our ancient alarm clock that woke the neighbors. It's not a problem since I sleep with it on my nightstand two feet from my head.
All in all, I'd have to say that this is a great buy for the money. I've never found an alarm clock that worked so well and saved me so much time!

I couldn't be happier with this clock. My favorite feature is probably the ability to set the alarm for certain days, i.e. every day, just weekdays, or weekends. You don't have to worry about turning off the alarm to sleep in on the weekends and then have to remember to turn it back on Sunday nights. But if you do need an alarm for the weekends, but not quite as early, you can set a different alarm for the weekends. I always keep the radio alarm set for during the week. But if I need it to go off at a different time for a special occasion, I just set the soothing sounds alarm. The readout could be a little brighter, but the numbers are nice and big. The date is a handy feature. The snooze button is easy to hit and lasts a nice, even 10 minutes. Turning it off completely is simple, as well. And it's small size is great for crowded nightstands. It has everything you need in a nice, compact package. It also travels fairly well if you can't part with it. Some of the other reviewers criticisms are not untrue, but I don't find them to be a problem myself.
