I bought this charger as a replacement for my gateway nv79 laptop charger that I lost. I was hesitant about buying this at first because of the previous review but I am glad I took a chance. It works great on my laptop and charges my battery with no problem at all. The charger does get hot but the original charger my laptop came with got hot as well so I have no problem with that. Also one thing I noticed was that the connection that goes into the laptop can come off easily and I don't know if this is the charger or my laptop because the original charger was a bit loose too (that is the only reason I gave it four stars). Overall I am very happy with this purchase!
