I purchased this for my mother-in-law in assisted living. It's a basic phone, works well, and she likes it. Amazon is a godsend for those of us that need to buy items for elderly relatives in other parts of the country. My mom is 100, my mom-in-law is 90. This phone was intended as my principal phone (living room.) It lived up to expectations--performing functions that the phone it replaced was supposed to--but didn't. The set-up menus are clearly written and easy to follow, and the end result is a well-functioning phone at a price less than half of the phone it replaced. Excellent speakerphone that replaced a failing unit with a separate caller ID. Wish the display screen was adjustable since it is difficult for me to see from the position on the desk. Overall the phone sound quality and function are very good. Would definitely purchase this unit again.

This phone was VERY helpful for my 80 year old Father. He has ALS and his hands/arms are always shaking. He has lost almost all of his fine motor skills. His Gross motor skills work well and this phone was exactly what was needed. If you have trouble seeing or simply cannot dial an avereage phone THIS phone is for you.Customer Review: GE Big Button wall telephone

This is the second one of these phones I've purchased. The only problem with it is that the receiver is a little hard to replace in the cradle, causing it to hit the floor frequently -- a design flaw, in my opinion. That's what happened to the first phone. If it happens again, I'll look for a different phone.
