Customer Review: So much better than the IR alternative.
Summary: 5 Stars

So much better than the IR alternative.

I bought this keyboard along with the Palm TX here on Amazon and I have been most pleased with both products and especially their functionality with each other. I use the combo primarily for taking notes in my college classes and it works amazingly well.

Sometimes the desk is not very big and so I'll just put the PDA in my lap and the keyboard on the desk. This works perfectly and would not be possible with an infra-red keyboard.

I also use my PDA to keep a daily journal. It is so nice to jet down to the local coffee shop on a Saturday morning, be able to pull the Palm and keyboard out of my jacket pockets and be typing my thoughts in less than a minute.

The only advice I would give is to go directly to the Think Outside website and download the latest driver. I didn't even bother with the CD that came with the keyboard.

Customer Review: Perfect keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm very happy with this keyboard. It works very well with my Pocket PC Phone. The keyboard quality is very decent, just as if you type with your laptop keyboard, very comfortable. It simply replace my need to bring laptop around. Combined with my Pocket PC Phone, I could do much more things.

Few things they could have done:
- Instead of using AAA batteries, they could have used rechargable battery with the same mini USB charging port to eliminate bringing extra charger.
- Add one more button lines for numeric buttons.

I just read recently that iGo has stopped/discontinued this product (please check for validity of this info, I read it from one website), this is pretty sad, as this is such a decent product. I would love to buy one more extra, but now the price tag in Amazon has been raised up almost double than when I bought it ($30). The price elsewhere is above $120.

Customer Review: A Technical Marvel
Summary: 5 Stars

This iGo Stowaway keyboard is nothing short of a technical marvel. I have used the keyboard on two different PDA phones. It is easy to setup and the manual explains the procedure step by step. This is a "wow" kind of device that works flawlessly. Both of the PDA/phones I used it with had slide out keyboards good enough for brief messages, but for real typing nothing beats this mini keyboard.

Astonishingly, production of this keyboard has been halted and it is no longer available from the manufacurer so whatever inventory is out there is all there is. I was able to purchase the keyboard for half price at the time it was discontinued. The $100 price is high and I think it is the same as the MSRP set by Stowaway. Given the limited availability, it is unlikely to be found for much less. If you absolutely need to do serious typing on your PDA/phone, this keyboard would be my recommendation.

Customer Review: Naysayers: it works great on my Blackberry Pearl!
Summary: 5 Stars

Hi All,
THIS KEYBOARD WORKS FOR MY BLACKBERRY PEARL 8100 PERFECTLY!
I was certainly hesitant to buy this product. Even though the description said Blackberry, there were a couple of reviews here that say it won't work for Blackberries, including my beloved Pearl. Well, it works wonderfully. The Igo website has the download for the Blackberries, and after about 1/2 hr (I'm fairly computer illiterate) of fiddling around, I got it to work. It didn't help that I initially installed the supplied batteries backwards! After putting them in properly, the keyboard still wasn't working, so I put new batteries in the keyboard, so that did the trick. I love how the keys feel and I can type as fast as I want to-which is great as I have used keyboards in the past for my old Palms (I got my first one in 1999) and I had to type a-t a s-l-o-w, d-e-l-i-b-e-r-a-t-e p-a-c-e. This is nice!

Customer Review: Works on iPAQ 110/111 WM6!
Summary: 5 Stars

I never planned on getting a keyboard for my WM6 PPC (iPAQ 110/111) but when I saw these being sold for $30 delivered I figured why not! I saw all of the complaints here about the stubborn sticker and while I agree that it was unfortunate, for me at least it wasn't that big of a problem. A little peeling and a bit of Goof-Off cleaner (Goo-Gone would have worked also) and the sticker was history (along with the painted logo on the outer cover, but who cares about that?)! It didn't affect the keys which is the important thing. Anyway, downloaded the drivers from the company site straight to my device, fired everything up and after several tries (my fault for not paying close attention to the instructions) it was working as it should, no problems! Now I need to find a comparable deal on the little matching mouse... sorry, it's not worth $50+ to me!
