Customer Review: Works Great
Summary: 5 Stars

I have 3 of these. I'm actually ordering a few more. I use them in multiple locations. My Media Center PC is in a cabinet that did not have any circulation, Just like another reviewer, I cut a small square hole in the cabinet and pulled the warm air out. Works perfect!

Another area I use this for is my satellite receivers. My AV rack is in an area that gets A/C, but not enough to keep all my AV equipment cool. I put one of these attached to my DirecTV HR20 receiver and it helps keep it cool.

In summary, these fans work great, they are quiet and really help solve heat issues for electronics with USB.

Customer Review: nice
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought two of these to help move some air through my entertainment center, specifically for my ps3, and they do a pretty solid job I haven't had any heat issues. I used two of my four usb ports on the front of the PS3 and set one to pull air in and one to shoot out. They're pretty loud on full power, but they have an adjustable dial to get it to a good combination of flow and noise. When the ps3 is off they turn off, when it's on they turn on. I even tried running them through a usb hub which worked. The retractable cord is a nice touch. The fan also comes with a stand that is easily removed.

Customer Review: Thermaltake Mobile Fan II External USB Cooling Fan - Us USB Fan
Summary: 5 Stars

In our building we are not allowed to have anything to plug into the walls. The building was built about the time of the Civil War and the ventilation isnt great. I was among a number of scofflaws who had an electric fan anyway because I could hardly breath in this building.

They cracked down in inforcement of electric fans, so when I saw this USB fan it looked to me like the answer to my problems. It only plugs into my computers' USB port and has a good airflow - not as good as my electric fan but better than any battery powered fan I have every used.

Everybody is happy.

Customer Review: Great Little Fans
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought 2 of these things. First one I plugged into the unused USB port of my always HOT Apple TV. Now my Apple TV keeps itself cool. The top of my apple TV was always almost HOT to the touch, now it's feels room temperature. The second one I plugged into an unused USB port on my new 27" Apple LED Cinema display because the bottom always seemed hot. I keep it pointed along the bottom of the screen so any hot air is pushed away. Works perfect, and is quiet. These little fans are even adjustable, if you need more of a breeze (they do get a little louder) --- but they really work great!

Customer Review: Surprise
Summary: 5 Stars

I will repeat one reviewers claim only because it was so hard to find and so useful. Similar to him, I Have a Dish Satellite DVR box (Vip722) that is always on and always HOT. I keep it in a cabinet above the TV. As with him I purchased this fan, using one of the two USB ports on the DVR. I had to put on one of those small glue-on fabric dots to hold the cabinet door open a crack. I set the fan in the rear, on medium, facing the intake side of the DVR grill. It's been running for six weeks, 24-7, and makes a hugh difference in how hot the DVR feels. I know it will extend it's life.
