I listen to a relaxation CD almost every night in order to get to sleep ("The Soothing Pulse" by Dr. John Ortiz...works like magic!) but the sound always bothered my husband. I researched many pillow sleepers and finally decided on this one. It's wonderful! I can hear my CD perfectly but my husband can't hear it at all. I just plug it into my clock radio/CD player by my bedside and drift off to sleep. The clarity of sound is also so good that my clock radio is able to wake me up through these speakers as well. I love that it has the built in volume control right in the wire. No searching around in the dark to try to find the volume on my CD player. This has been a wonderful purchase & I've recommended it to several of my friends. Very pleased!
