I like the small footprint of the design. The software is easy to use and exports to lots of different things. The B-Card scanning is ok, not as good as CardScan but good since its included. I like the fact that I can pop this, with its cloth cover, in my laptop case. No power cord, it runs off of a USB port.
The $189 price was $25 less than a special my wife saw on Martha Stewart.
I'll use it (hopefully) and avoid shoeboxes from now on.

the software for this scanner allows me to export into multiple programs and although it doesn't recognize all of the information on the receipts, the scanned image is always clear enough to see the original and adjust anything that was not recorded correctly. it has helped me to get rid of atleast half of the paperwork on my desk and i'm no longer keeping hard copies of my reciepts. i think it has been one of the best purchases i've made for my home office.Customer Review: Great product for many different uses (not just receipts).

I am a consultant and I bought this product for scanning receipts. It does a great job for that, but I have found that it is great for scanning just about anything that you want into a PDF file. I am satisfied with the product, but be certain that you have the recommended memory to run the software. The MS database that it uses is a memory hog. Be cautious of this on upgrades, since each update/upgrade usually requires more memory than the previous one.Customer Review: NeatReceipts

This is a fabulous product. It was easy to set up and is so easy to use. I love that it OCR's the information from even the most wrinkled, disreputable looking receipts and sorts it into a usable format. The size allows me to easily carry the Scanalizer in my briefcase with my laptop. I am so sold on it that I suggested it to my Dad who has a small bookkeeping business. Software works as advertised. Update online added tax categories that I otherwise would have had to have done myself.
Hardware also works as advertised. Plug and play. Rotates images as necessary. Very readable. Recognizes about 90% the first time. If you 'correct' as you go, the next time it gets it right. Seems to sometimes have a problem with slashed zeros being recognized as eights - appears to be a function of font size on the receipt.
