Okay I LOVE LOVE LOVE this new scanner! It is awesome..
So I first scan in ALL my receipts for my Corporate card and it is about 90% accurate even pulling up the company name. For the stuff its not accurate for its not really their fault it is because of the way some companies do receipts. It does AN AWESOME JOB. It organizes them for you!
So then I took it home and scanned in all my receipts for things I could no longer return but wanted to keep for insurance, tax and other reasons. It worked awesome! So quick too!!! I shredded tons of receipts and a lot of my receipts were fading away so no longer concern because you scan them and no need to hold onto the paper!
It also scans in business cards, tax related items and whatever else pretty much. I love it and cant wait to finish scanning the rest of my papers!

I have had this product for over a year. I followed the software installation instructions and it was extremely easy to install. It is great for scanning business cards (some special formats require manual changes - which is very easy to do). I have used it extensively for scanning personal purchase receipts, warranties and even user manuals - comes in very handy for warranty issues!
My wife is in sales and is contantly getting business cards from clients and potential clients. When I showed my wife how easy it was to use, she handed me a stack of about 50 business cards. In a very short time, I had scanned the cards and sent to her via email where she was able to import into her Outlook Contacts file. She used to keep a stack of busienss card and enter them manually when she had time - which was not often. Now she scans them herself and is very pleased with how easy it is!

This has to be the best way to consolidate receipts and documents! Best way to secure receipts that are thermally printed, since many of these receipts only last less then a few months. These receipts if exposed to humidity and/or sunlight can and will disintegrate faster.
This system was a saviour on my last business trip that included 12 cities over 3 months with a touring promotional show. Daily i would scan and create expense and budget reports to send back to the main office. Not only did this help at the end of the tour but helped document expenses that could be charged back to the client.

I recently received my NeatReceipts and love it. I am a computer consultant who travels a lot and look for anything that can be light weight and keep me organized. NeatReceipts is light, very reliable, and easy to use. It keeps all my receipts and any other document I want to scan electronic versus keeping bulky paper.
On the down side, it does not offer a driver or software for the Mac. It sounds like that is in the works, but who knows when it will be available.
On the up side, the software is very good at scanning and determining the vendor and amount. If it cannot figure it out it is a simple edit to make the change. Scanning is quick and easy.

I can hardly believe it. Just install it and it works! And boy, does it. A few years back all the rage in big corporations was "Optical Storage". (I know cause I was there) There wasn't anything "Optical" about the service but it did store a copy of the paper document and a system user could access one or thousands of documents by various standard fields; vendor, author, addressee, etc. and print one or all and get reports.
This gadget does the same thing. It's wonderful, even if you are only operating a small business. The only problem is I am having trouble remembering that I don't have to file and cross file every piece of paper after it is scaned.
