Customer Review: TI-84 plus: a graphing calculation device

In this review i will be focusing on two major points pertaining to the monetary exchange usage and overall quality of my calculating machine which is a TI-84 plus manufactured for Texas Instruments of Dallas, Texas by an outsourced factory located in the Peoples Republic of China.
The machine is well suited to meet professor recommendation for just about any math, or physics work (aerodynamics in my case). I could even go as far as saying "if one were so inclined they could put forth effort by entering data into the machine which is required in order to complete equations and the machine will accurately produce an answer to said equation."
The machine itself is of relatively high quality, not that materials used are anything too extravagant for example the device and is case are constructed of plastic but the complete assembly and rigid construction are testament to a well designed piece of equipment as far as I would expect a calculating device manufactured by an American company outsourcing to China.
From an economical standpoint I was expecting such a machine to cost me in the neighborhood of one hundred dollars and i was of course able to order one from this site for a reasonably lesser sum of around eighty five.

This calculator is hands-down the best I have ever had the honor of using. While the TI-84 Plus may not have as much space or as many pre-loaded Apps as the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, the TI-84 Plus offers everything a high school (possibly some college) math student needs in order to successfully learn and solve mathematics material. The TI-84 Plus comes loaded with several Apps that will make things even more convenient, such as a Probability Simulator and Cabri Jr., a great geometry app. Student looking to upgrade from the TI-83 Plus will find comfort in the fact that the TI-84 Plus is 2.5x faster and has 3x the memory than the TI-83 Plus. The TI-84 Plus is also extremely easy to hook up to your computer to transfer new Apps and updates to it using the USB port and the included USB cable. The new TI-84 Plus is a wonderful calculator. If anybody has had the TI-83 or 83 Plus, they know how easy and reliable it is. The 84 Plus is an all-around imprivement on the older version and even worth the additional $15-$20. I have had it since school started and have noticed than any problem I enter, it is solved immediately upon pressing enter, or solve. The speed is a great improvement over the 83-Plus. The computer features are nice, but rarely used by myself. For anybody who is supposed to buy a TI series calculator for school, the 84 Plus us definitely the one to pick up this year and for the next few years I assume. Easy, fast, reliable, durable, and even sleek. As long as you handle it properly and use it enough, you will get all of your $110 out of the TI-84 Plus.Customer Review: Great calculator - syracusecalculus runs lousy business

What this graphing calculator can do is amazing with all of the functions and graphing capabilities. My daughter needed this for school. I originally order it from syracusecalculus, however, they never shipped, even despite telling me they did. They provided me a USPS tracking number which shows that the post office never received the item to ship. syracusecalculus then had the gull to tell me that the item must have got lost in the mail. This took two weeks to resolve and my daughter needed this calculator for school. In the end, I reorder the calculator from Autarchy and received it in two days. I will NEVER do business with syracusecalculus again since they can't seem to tell the truth despite given multiple opportunities to do so.Customer Review: Best math calculator

This is an excellent calculator for those embarking on a college major that requires a lot of math. It has a lot of pre-loaded formulas for many types of calculations. Several readily used textbooks refer to either the TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator for use in their courses.
The only problem I found is that TI-Connect (the software to connect the calculator to your computer) does not work with Windows XP SP3. You would think a company as advanced as TI could keep up with Microsoft's updates to Windows! What Windows user would not be up to date with Service Packs? I really don't understand their failure is this area.
All other things about this product are great!
