Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Texas Instruments BA II Plus Professional Financial CalculatorCustomer Review: A first-rate financial calculator Summary: 5 Stars
The TI BA II Plus is a first-rate piece of equipment. It performs all the basic financial functions. Additionally, it has a very simple interface, using a set of "worksheets" to perform the more complex financial functions. One needs to remember to exit the worksheet when finished, however, or the calculator will produce nonsense when computing products, sums, etc.
An additional plus: this is one of only a few calculators which are permitted for use on the Society of Actuaries exams.
Customer Review: worthy buy Summary: 5 Stars
I have the older version of the calculator and frankly, I was hoping to get the same. Yet, I am totally happy with the new design. The keys are firmer and you know when you've pressed them. The strange case of the old version, which used to wiggle a bit, is now replaced with a stylish design and a leather sleeve.
I think the functions are identical as the ones on the old model. It may be that I have not found improvements because I haven't needed them but I'm completely satisfied.
Customer Review: It Adds Up Summary: 5 Stars
This low cost calculator fits the bill. I purchased this unit for my daughter for Christmas as she taking accounting classes. It's exactly what she wanted. It performs all of the necessary business functions with power to spare. It is lightweight but durable. The functions are pretty intuitive. And it has the Texas Instrument quality that we have depended on for years. The Amazon price was great as I shopped this calculator around. To add it up, you can't go wrong with this one.
Customer Review: Excellent and User Friendly Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent calculater. Comparing it with the professional edition of the equivalent HP financial calculator, I have to say that this is way better.
It is so much more user friendly. You don't have to remeber the key combinations you have to enter (with no visual feedback as in HP) - it has a scrolling input method. You can hit down arrows and scroll across variables that you want to store some values in.
Very nice calculator.
Customer Review: Excellent value! Summary: 5 Stars
I was disgusted after spending close to a $100 for an HP since I thought they were the standard for financial calculators. Cheap build quality and keys that didn't register numbers when you pushed them?! Maybe they offer way more for the truly high-powered users, but after I returned the HP and bought this TI I couldn't be more pleased...I'm only disappointed I didn't get it when it was on sale -- At $32 with free shipping this one is a "no brainer"!
