Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Texas Instruments BA II Plus Professional Financial CalculatorCustomer Review: A real find Summary: 5 Stars
As a real estate broker, I use the calculator quite a bit to calculate various aspects of transactions. It is nice to have the best looking calculator in the conference room, but even better to have one that is easy to use and on which it is difficult to make mistakes. I don't get all the fuss about the "stiffness" of the buttons - it is not like you work up a sweat pushing them, and I appreciate 'knowing' when I have pressed it because I can feel it. This is a superb calculator and for TVM, business, and finance, it is well worth the money.
Customer Review: The best financial calculator Summary: 5 Stars
This is THE best financial calculator!!! It's professional looking. Some new functions have been added. I really like the modified duration, MIRR, and NFV. It's very easy to use (very user friednly). It's just great. This calculator is very fast, faster than the old version (BA II Plus), and certainly faster than HP calculators. If you are going to take the CFA exam, you definitely should have this calculator. It will save you a lot of precious time during the exam.
TI rules the calculator world!
Customer Review: Super price, quality product Summary: 5 Stars
I had a BA II and upgraded to do financial and estate planning calculations sans computer. Contrary to many reviews of the product, I liked the keyboard feel and didn't have any difficulty entering numbers. It has a solid feel and is easy to read. I did have to read the manual.
You can't just grab the calculator and add and divide. This is set up as a financial calculator and must be setup for arithmetic. A great intermediate calculator that will keep you going when the computers are down.
Customer Review: Great calculator, could use a better case Summary: 5 Stars
I upgraded from the BA II Plus that was about 10 years old, this calculator is excellent. It has all the functions I need and feels nice when using it as well.
The only downside is that it comes with a soft case. There's a "cheat sheet" card that comes with it that's very useful, but I find it difficult to put in the case with the calculator and don't feel the case really protects it. TI used to put a hard slide cover on their calculators and I wish they had done that with this one as well.
Customer Review: Great financial calculator Summary: 5 Stars
This calculator was suggested to me by my Accounting professor, and has proven extremely valuable in Finance courses. One of the differences between the professional and the regular BA 2 plus is the ability to compute net future values of cash flows. If you have to compute that step by step it takes forever with the non-professional version of the calculator. So, if you are required to purchase the BA 2 plus for whatever reason I highly suggest buying the professional version, it will save you time.
