Customer Review: Nice, Effective, A Bit Confusing

I have an old TI-89 and I needed this unit to upgrade my TI's OS. When I installed the software and launched the application my PC could see my calculator but many functions weren't available to me. Ultimately I figured out how to upgrade my 89's OS and all is well.
The unit is perfect but you may need to play around with it to get it working right if you've got an older OS on your TI.

I purchased the TI 83Plus Graphics USB link recently and was pleased with its performance and straight forward installation in my Vista computer. I liked the 83Plus more than the more recent TI calulator model (TI 84) and by purchasing the USB link, in essence, it provides the same functionality in a more compact and "eye pleasing" package.Customer Review: Works as designed- but limited for a TI92 Plus early model

The cable works well, but there is nothing I can do with upgrading or installing software with my TI92 Plus early model. I get errors that the OS is too old and needs upgrading, but then when I try to upgrade the OS I get errors that my hardware is too old. I found that this item works as advertised. I did have to download the software from the website as the CD they sent was out dated. I've also found the links in the software to be broken. The cable works great, easy to set up and all that jazz. I just don't (now) see the point of buying a cable just to download free useless programs. Perhaps the younger generation knows more about how to use the programs than I.
