Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Terk Technology HDTVi VHF/UHF HDTV Indoor Antenna

Customer Review: Excellent - using in NYC under a DESK - Surrounded by Buildings
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my office to use with an Elgato TV tuner for MAC. I put the antenna under return on my desk so it remained sort of 'out of sight'. The elgato went through the scan and found all local NY networks.

Now...I know I am in NYC...so my signal should be strong..but My office building is U shaped and surrounded by HUGE ac's and HVAC units.... I was afraid this wouldnt cut it. I WAS wrong.

Easy to install, easy to setup, and it does what it should...gets HD signals from the AIR.

Customer Review: Three time purchaseser
Summary: 5 Stars

I live between Boston, MA, and Providence, RI. I initially purchased this antenna because the rabbit ears and loop I was using provided intermittent reception to most channels in my area. The Terk HDTVi antenna provides reliable reception to two-sets of over-the-air channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, CW, and ION). I was so pleased I purchase one for my mother and one for my mother-in-law.

One caveat. It is directional and does have to be pointed in the general direction of the transmitting station.

Customer Review: Ugly & Top-heavy, but it does the job great!
Summary: 5 Stars

We depended on rabbit ears and low cost bow antennas for years. With the switch to digital, we lost half our channels, and our best channels became more and more spotty. I followed a recommendation and bought this one - and we can now pick up every single station available in our area, with no drop-outs. This antenna really is as ugly in person as it is in the picture. It also has a heavier top than bottom, and is a bit dense overall. So while not the best design, it works great and does what it's meant to do.

Customer Review: Worked much better than a standard 'loop' antenna
Summary: 5 Stars

This antenna really works well for me. I have had trouble getting good HDTV / UHF reception in my apartment and have tried two different loop antennas (one of them amplified) and this one works much better. I think it deals well with multiple path situations where the different paths tend to cancel out at the antenna. This antenna is directional so picks out one stong path and rejects the interference. Very happy customer here after months of fiddling around (unsuccessfully) with other antennas!

Customer Review: Best small antenna for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

Purchased this for my upstairs Plasma TV that I also purchased from Amazon. For it's size, this antenna is amazing. It picks up all the digital channels; which is difficult as I am 30 miles from the stations. Analog stations are not required, as all my local stations also broadcast in HD digital. The unit is compact, stylish, and very easy to install. I added a cheap Radio Shack antenna amplifier, and the signal is now up around 80-90%. For the price and size, you can't beat this little antenna.
