Customer Review: More heavy duty than anticipated

I thought this was going to be some cheap plastic thing. Though it is made of plastic it does not look or feel cheap in person. The build quality of this antenna is quite nice. Much nicer build than the Kaito or Grundig AM loop antennas. I can't comment on the performance of the Kaito or Grundig loops because I have not used them but I have examined them at Radio Shack and to me they look cheap compared to the Terk.
I find that setting the Terk next to my Grundig 750 or my Tivoli radio pretty much eliminates the need to rotate the internal AM ferrite in order to cancel interference. Tuning in the antenna to a signal is easy to do as the frequencies labeled on the dail are well callibrated. It takes some experimenting but I have been able to improve AM DX reception on these radios in certain scenarios. Keep in mind that this antenna's impact is not as great on radios like these that already have above average AM reception. None the less I am glad to have this antenna due to its ability to tackle interference in house alone.
I still plan to much more experimentation with this antenna and hope to provide an update to this review at a later date.
