Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Targus XL Rolling Case Designed for 17 Inch Notebooks TXL717 (Black)Customer Review: Essential computer travel equipment Summary: 4 Stars
Business travel across country today is difficult due to airport security, baggage charges by airlines and carry-on restrictions. Add the factors of crowded airports, the need to rapidly hike from one concourse to another to change planes and the need to rapidly access items from your carry-on and you can use any help you can get from good equipment. The Targus Notebook Case really helps me with these issues. Whomever designed the layout, pocket arrangements and overall size was very obviously a fellow sky traveler. Overall this is excellent equipment for travel. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have one more extension section on the handle for us taller people with a more positive lock for each section. It appears that, in the effort to make the handle collapse quickly and easily (which it does) the section locks are not very solid which creates some issues handling the case on and off escalators, elevators etc.
Overall this is great equipment. I was especially pleased that Targus made one large enough to accommodate my great new 17" computer. If you are in the market for this type of gear it would be hard to go wrong with this model.
Customer Review: An airport lifesaver! Summary: 4 Stars
I had to fly to California with a 6 year old child about 8 weeks after having a double knee replacement, with a 17 inch laptop. The child was great on the trip, my new knees survived the trip pretty good, but I learned one valuable lesson... my laptop is so heavy that I will never travel again without wheels for the darn thing. The day after we arrived, I ordered this rolling notebook case & Amazon delivered to me, in California, within 2 days. It is very roomy and the wheels roll perfectly (very important!)and it made my return trip a delight. Just pull up that handle and roll away.
I only gave it 4 stars because I am not sure about the quality of the fabric. I have hauled it around many times and so far it doesn't have a mark on it, but it seems thin. Who knows, maybe it is a new lightweight but very sturdy fabric? Anyway, that is my only concern.
Customer Review: Office on wheels Summary: 4 Stars
I had injured my lower back and it took a week to recover. I purchased this product shortly thereafter so that I would no longer have to strain my back by slinging my laptop case over my shoulder. I've been using this product for over a month, now, and have already recognized it's durability and convenience. It is large enough for a wide screen laptop, and with enough support to protect it. When I first started using it to transport my laptop, Franklin Covey day planner, and several files, I lost my grip of the handle in the parking lot of my office. The case hit the asphalt hard and I thought for sure there would have been some damage done to my laptop. Not so - it booted right up with no problem once I got to my office. The wheels roll evenly and, overall, it feels really sturdy. I love it!

Targus TXL717 17 XL Rolling Notebook Case
PROS:
This product is durable and functional. I have had it a month and it is a relief! It carries my computer, organizer, cords, files, checkbook, large business card holder, extra business cards, pens, et al. A real workhorse! And, the telescoping handle is long enough so I do not kick the bag all the time, like a lot of my luggage.
CONS:
The telescoping handle storage does not have a "lining" or "separator" from the file compartment... that's a bit tacky!
Customer Review: 17" laptop rolling bag Summary: 4 Stars
Finding a reasonably priced laptop rolling notebook case bag for a 17" laptop is challenging at best. But the Targus fit the bill. The heaviest thing about the bag is the actual computer you put in it. There is plenty of room for all the equipment and supplies needed to a meeting and it travels wonderfully. The only problem I have is getting the rolling handle out - arthritis in my fingers sometimes makes it a challege. Nothing Targus can do about that issue.
