For all of you out there who are looking for a backpack to carry your M17x or a similar large laptop, I recommend this backpack greatly. Not only does my laptop fit in the laptop compartment perfectly, but it is also protected by specialized cushions surrounding the backpack. Another key feature is the extra compartments it has. I am currently a med student, which means I constantly have to be carrying a number of books, not only do my books fit in the bag with my laptop already in it but i still have space to put my headphones, lunch, and other necessities for the day. I guess the only con I can find is the bulky size, but so far I've barely noticed it. Oh and one last thing: it doesn't look like your lugging your suitcase on your back, it has more of a subtle look to it and I haven't received a single comment on how big the bag is. So I rate this bag 5 stars and I can honestly say that it has fulfilled all my necessities.Customer Review: Great 17" bag for college student

My husband and I both got this bag for hauling our books and 17 " dell laptops to school. It is a really big bag, I thought it would look gaudy but it doesn't. It's got ample room for my laptop and books for like 4-5 classes. I like the drink sleeve on the side, with a slide thingy to keep it locked in place, no matter what the size. One great feature is that the shoulder straps, on the top part, are space far enough apart for guys to have it on their backs. A guy friend of mine has a different laptop backpack cannot wear his because his shoulders are too broad, he's got to wear it over the shoulder. Also, the straps are adjustable. While the pack is on, you can tighten the straps and when you need to take it off, one hand is all you need to loosen it up if you need too. There are compartments for your cell phone, pens, etc. You will not be disappointed. Amazon is also the cheapest I have found this for.Customer Review: Who can ask for more?

I looked at dozens of replacements for my aging, leather, shoulder style bag and I have to say, this case is wonderful. It has room for everything! I packed everything except the kitchen sink for my first trip in years and there was still plenty of room to spare. This case has re-enforced strap connections and more pockets than any backpack I've seen. The notebook compartment is divided into 2 seconds and is well padded. It even has enough room for my Notebook Cooler, Silver, ZM-NC2000, which is quite large (another great product). It also carried several 1000 page textbooks has a special place for eyeglasses, water bottles, etc, etc.
This case is best for organized people, since it's very easy to misplace an item in its vast array of pockets. If I get another 17" notebook, this will be the case I buy.

I purchased this backpack for school, and I love it. Its rated for a 17" laptop, but I haul around my 13" MacBook, along with all my textbooks, notebooks, and folders for college. What's more, with all the space this backpack allows, it doubles as a weekend pack for carrying clothes, etc, if I go hiking, or just if I want to pack light when we hit the road to visit family out-of-state.
The only thing that can be said against it is the front flap, which is designed to drop down for easy access to the pouches beneath. It is only held up with plastic buckle clips, so it still droops down a bit if its weighed down too much. However, I just use it to hold pencils and notes, so it doesn't get weighed down enough to droop.
All in all, I highly recommend this backpack to anyone who wants a pack with lots of space for college stuff and wants to be able to tote their laptop too.

I bought this backpack because my new laptop was too big to fit in my old bag. I based my choice on the recommendation of other users of my laptop from forums that stated that this would hold 2 laptops easily.
I regularly carry both my personal laptop and my work laptop, so this was a big selling point. This bag holds both my ASUS Republic of Gamers G73JW and my 15" work laptop, both of the power bricks, 2 normal mice, a headset for VOIP as well as several books that I carry around (programming books).
Yesterday, I was also able to fit a 2 liter bottle of soda in the middle compartment next to the 2 programming books.
So far, I have had the bag for about 3 months and have seen no signs of fraying or any indication of material failure starting. For the price, I am extremely happy with how well the backpack has stood up to my loading it up.
