I wanted a bag to carry my laptop to and from work along with papers, books, etc. I ride the metro, so I wanted something that would pad the computer, more comfortable to carry than a briefcase type bag, and inconspicuous so that it wouldn't be obvious that I am carrying a laptop. This bag meets all of that and I'm very pleased with it.
Capacity: I routinely carry a laptop, a couple magazines, glasses case, phones, and some paperback books in the bag, and it all fits comfortably.
Appearance: It doesn't have any gaudy branding, so I feel okay bringing it to the office and also wearing on the metro.
AIr Travel: I have brought this on several business trips, including long international flights, and it works great as a carry-on. I stuffed it full of stuff on those trips, like extra socks and shirts, and it performed well. Much better than having to carry a laptop briefcase + a carry one + a personal bag! I used it as all of those in one.
