This laptop bag is great! I admit, it is big, but that's probably something you'd expect from a bag that fits 17" screens.
I own a HP Pavilion dv7, which has a 17.3" screen and it fits perfectly. I don't know how others with 18" screens fit their laptops in this bag because my 17.3" from HP barely fits horizontally. Other than that, this bag looks very professional and has many pockets for storage. Yeah, the cellphone pocket isn't needed and most modernized cellphones probably wouln't fit, but it's a great pocket for other things that can fit!
At first sight, the strap kind of disappointed me because it didn't seem as high-quality as I expected. Once I started using it though, it wasn't that bad. There could've been a little more padding for the strap, but it is great overall. Without the strap, it gives off the feeling that it's like a briefcase.

Really impressed how fast it arrived!! (I just used standard free shipping) This bag is HUGE!! I've been having trouble finding bag to fit my new Dell Studio 17" laptop, not only because of width but also due to the "extended" part in back so more than 2". This bag has plenty of room for this monster laptop! File folder compartment a little small but I probably just have too much in it and need to re-organize how many files I put in it - then it would be perfect. And I really like the laptop compartment having "holes" for padlock and I can fit a small padlock through the file compartment zippers too (I wish they would consider putting the big holes on this too as some of us carry confidential information in files too). I just got this bag but so far exceeds my expectations as far as fitting laptop and such. I just hope it holds up as well as the reviews I've read!Customer Review: BEST BAG IVE PURCHASED

I have purchased many laptop bags for my 17" laptop. The laptop weighs 10+ Lbs and i always have books and papers with me. I have a constant supply of 10 CDs my charger, cables, testers and the such. I am a desktop support technician and need all this stuff with me. My bag fully loaded weighs in excess of 40 Lbs. i have ripped the handles off many other bags within the first week of use. I DO abuse the bag and i USE it to its fullest extent. Did not expect it to last me a year AND it HAS and is still working. No damage to the bag besides some scratches on the outside from abuse. No tears, or anything of that nature. ZIPPERS work Great and never had one problem with the bag. i wish i could give it 10 stars. i have purchased others has gifts for co-workers who perform the same functions as me and have recommend it to friends that love it. 100% GREAT BUY!!!!!!!!Customer Review: Targus Notebook case-Exceptional value

Although the Tatgus TLE400 notebook case is a bit on the expensive side, this Deluxe Leather case is well worth the extra expense. It is roomy with plenty of pockets for periferals, cords, USB drive, Power adapter or whatever. Plus a side pocket for your paperwork that will hold legal size folders and an end pocket for your cell phone. The leather is suptle and the comfortable, padded shoulder strap is angled to help stay in place. Downside, it is a bit heavy when fully loaded and the zippers are a bit stiff to use. Also it could use extra padding strips for the notebook compartment. But if you have a 17 inch notebook, this is the case for it; the only case I found that actually fits my Acer 17 inch perfectly. Or, even if you have a 15 inch notebook but need to carry legal size folders this would be the case to have.

I've been using this case ever since I got my laptop back in early December, so after using it for two months now I can honestly say I have had no complaints. I can easily fit everything I need into the various pockets/compartments. Plenty of room for my power cable/adapter, USB full-sized mouse, car adapter, and even room for my portable USB speakers. I have a 17" laptop and it fits perfectly fine in the middle. I'm only a college student, not like a high-class business professional so I will admit I was a little skeptical when I got it that it would look maybe a little too "glossy" or something, but after a day or so I barely noticed and it really does look nice.
Great product and it definitely does what it's supposed to do, I recommend this product based on my use thus far.
