Bought these in December 2009. They were easy to set up. They work exactly how they are supposed to. My wife loves that I have them.
I am actually amazed at the coverage. It is a small room but they do not cut out no matter which way I am facing until I cover the receiver or actually walk out of the room. It is funny I forget that I have them on and then I step thru the threshold and the sound stops, reminding me I have them on.

I have installed several pair of these for elderly relatives and they are all quite happy with them. Additionally everyone else is happy since they don't have to listen to TVs turned up to max volume.
The only problem I have is the many new TVs lack a analog output so adding a optical to analog converter adds cost and wall warts. Hopefully TV Ears will come out with a dual input model with both optical and analog inputs.

I bought this for my eldery mother since she is hard of hearing. It is great she can watch TV and have the sound off so we can have some quite in the house and she can listen at the volume she wants. She also said that she could hear things that she normally could not hear when watching TV. It has helped from having to have the TV on full blast. Great product.Customer Review: FYI. OLD AND NEW

FYI....I have loved having TV Ears for a very long time. That is the problem. I ordered a new head set. My charger is old and requires a black headset. Not knowing this, when I placed my order, the TV Ears I received were blue for the new charger and are not compatible with my older charger. I hate sending things back! Don't you? P. These TV Ears are EXCELLENT! My wife and I would wake up at different times in the middle of the night, turn on the TV, fall back asleep, and the TV would wake up the spouse! Now, one of us wakes up, uses the TV Ears, still falls back asleep, but the sounds from the TV do not wake up the spouse!!
Works better than anticipated!
