These were purchased as replacement headphones that fit on the T.V. Ears base. We had a pair that lasted for over a year before my son broke them. They were purchased for his father who has hearing loss, but I use them at night so that I can turn the sound down. We were still able to use the broken pair for a few months until they went dead. I am unsure whether or not there is a battery inside, but since the first pair was broken, I decided to replace them. These are just like the original pair. The ear pieces are comfortable and can be changed when they start to wear. I recommend these.Customer Review: great ears

My new EARS are a major help to watch TV and/or movies because of my hearing loss.
Now, whatever I watch is more enjoyable: if it's close captioned thats great, but, if it's not, my new EARS helps by allowing me to hear better and understand more of the stories and docummentories.
The complete EARS kit I had were a gift from my son. This worked so well that I shopped around for an additional set. I found AMAZON,COM had a very good price plus AMAZON has the protection that's needed to shop on line.

A number of years ago we purchased a similar item which did not work so well. Not only did we hear the TV but also the local broadcast of a minor league baseball team from a local radio station.
We tried again. This product has no interference from radio broadcast and only a very low hiss which can be adjusted to no hiss.
No more tripping over cords in the dark. Very satisfied and would rate this as 5 out of 5 stars.

My husband has used TV Ears for several years & loves them. This was a replacement headset for his original set. We had problems with finally receiving a functioning set. Had to return the headsets 2 times before they came & worked. But~~ Amazon was great to send replacement headsets very promptly when I reordered them. This is the 2nd set of TV Ears that my parents have ordered -- one for each of them now!!! My Dad complains that they aren't the most comfortable things to wear, but Mom says you just have to adjust them until they don't bother you. I've tried them out -- they work great!! They cut down on all the background noise and music, so that you can hear what is being said. Great, great product -- at a great price!!!
