These work great for our situation. I need to keep an ear open to listen for my elderly mother who spends her time in another room. So the sound on my TV can't be overpowering. I actually use my TV ears with only ONE ear. That way my TV doesn't disturb her viewing in her room and I can hear my TV and her as well when she calls me. My husband also enjoys the TVears because my hearing is not as good as his and I like my sound level higher than him. Now we both have control over our desired listening level. The sound quality is fine and I have not had any static problems or scratching. As long as you put them back on the recharger at night the battery life lasts all day. I did have it go dead on me one time but like I said you have to put it on the charger when not in use. Would recommed to anyone who has to share tv viewing with someone who needs a high listening level.Customer Review: Best purcase I've made

I originally bought the t.v. ears for my dad. He has hearing loss and wears oxygen at all times. We tried other amplifier devices but all he could hear was the oxygen blowing! The t.v. ears are amazing, all he can hear is the t.v. My mom tried them out just for grins and could hear much better. She especially liked how clear the words were and that the commercials don't blare like they do when just listening to the t.v. So we bought her her own pair. Each set has it's own volume control, excellent idea! What's also excellent about these things is you can still hear everything in your environment, including someone speaking to you at a normal volume. So worth the money. My parents are now able to watch t.v together again, the first time in 5 years!Customer Review: Problem Solved

My husband and I have wanted to try the TV Ears for a while. I purchased him the set and the charger base for Christmas. After we tried the TV Ears, we loved hearing the dialog, even with the background noise from the TV at our own volume levels. I needed a second set of TV Ears for me. The base had room to charge two TV Ears. At Amazon.com I found just a set of TV Ears. I did not want to buy another base, just the TV Ears. Amoazon.com had just what I wanted. We are very happy now. Everyone uses the TV Ears when we need a quiet house or someone is sleeping. The TV Ears solved two problems: Hearing the dialog and keeping the volume down as needed. TV Ears Headset System My mother is 91 years old and extremely hard of hearing. After hearing aids (that she did not like and won't wear) and numerous other hearing devices we found TV Ears Headset System. Her first words were "I can hear every word" and this with the television at normal level, even if the volume is turned completely down she can still hear and not miss a word. These are a real live saver.
If only we could find something that would allow a conversation with her that work this well.

I have hearing loss and I was given an original set of TV Ears as a gift. REALLY liked them, used them until the original headset finally wore out. Purchased this replacement set, but they didn't fit the old charger. Was in my local CostCo Store and saw a new 2.3 system with charger. Bought it on the spot, hooked it up, now have superior clarity / sound over the original plus an extra headset in the charger. Four stars on "comfort" as they were a little tight in the ears at first. They work independent of TV volume, so great at night when others are sleeping. I would highly recommend TV ears.
