This product definitely works as advertised. It's great that it's wireless. I purchased it for my aunt, who ended up preferring a simple pair of Sony Sports over-the-head light earphones attached by wire to the TV. The TV Ears sound quality is not as good as wired earphones, and also it's much heavier. I think they should have it be over the top of the head rather than hang down from the ears, putting pressure on the earss. Anyway, this is one of several options and I definitely recommend trying it out. Try to purchase it in a manner where you can return it if you don't prefer it over other options.Customer Review: TV Ears 10241

Worked the first day. Next day there was massive static noise so I was going to return them. Then 2 days later the static noise went away.
Tip: keep away from window and any other glass like a glass candle holder.
Update: I week after I got my TV ears to work, I purchased a new LCD plasma TV and now the TV ear RCA analog plug does not fit into the optical digital audio out plug of my new TV so TV ears has advised me that I have to buy a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) which costs $50. This whole thing is now getting too expensive.
