Customer Review: Great replacement for my old 40-conductor cable.

I bought my computer in 2003. I was unaware that IDE cables come in 40- and 80-conductor varieties. They all have 40-pin connectors, but some have 40 wires and some have 80 wires between the two (or three) 40-pin connectors. I was having trouble with a new CD/DVD drive because my IDE cable was of the older 40-conductor variety. I bought this 80-conductor cable and now everything is working very well.

This 18-inch cable is constructed with 80 conductor ribbon and contains three 40-pin socket connectors (one for the controller card and the other two for drives).
