This KVM Switch works great and its easy to setup and came with all necessary cables. I plugged all the computer peripherals into switch, such as the monitor, USB Keyboard and Mouse, speakers, and microphone. Then plug all the cables into your two computers. Turn on your computers and you're done. Just press button #1 or #2, depending on which computer you want to use.
My only complaint would be the how the cables connect to the switch. There are ports on 4 different sides of the switch. Cables are everywhere, making it very messy. I suggest getting some cable ties to clean your workstation clean and organized.

I wasn't sure what to expect for such a low price. I was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't even bother to shut down the computers (as recommended) - just hooked it up and it worked like a charm. I especially like that it is powered by the USB to a computer. No additional power cords are needed.
As others mentioned, since the cables come out of all four sides it does pose a minor nuisance but I hid it underneath the desk. Be aware that the unit itself is about the size of a cigarette pack so it can easily be hidden.
Overall a great purchase that I have since recommended to others.

Easy to connect (includes the cables); readily allows you to operate two PC's using one mouse, monitor, keyboard and set of speakers. {Note: there's a PS-2 KVM switch available if you have PS-2 mouse & keyboard.} My only problem is waking a sleeping PC (on power scheme); hitting the keyboard spacebar doesn't do it. Otherwise, you can easily switch between running PC's using the "hot key" (scroll-lock + scroll-lock, preprogramed). I got this to assist in migrating from an old PC to a new PC, but was so much fun I've kept the old one in place as an "installed spare/back-up".Customer Review: 1 monitor 2 PC's

I simple love this item. It works and works well! I have an XP system, a Win 7 system and 1 monitor and now switch between the 2 PC's easily using that single monitor as my viewer. Setup was a snap (easy even for a novice) no intimidating mum BO jumbo I am very pleased with this item.
Also able to use one set of speakers for both systems, another plus.

Like other reviewers I was somewhat suspicious at first when I saw the relative low price of this device compared to similar products. However it turned out that the two units we bought work flawlessly. We used the TrendNet 2 KVM to switch between a Windows XP - Windows XP and a Windows XP - Linux box. The switching time is between 3 and 5 seconds, re-synchronizing the USB devices takes longest, the image is switched quicker.
In summary: The TrendNet 2 KVM is a good product at a good price that works as advertized. - I'd buy it again.
