Customer Review: TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio
Summary: 5 Stars

The TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio that I purchase was as I expected. It works just great! I puchase this in order to us it with my XBox 360 on my computer. I didn't wont to have to keep unplugging the XBox in oder to use my computer. So I went online to research what I needed to do. What I found was the TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio was my best solution to the problem. Now, when I want to use both, (computer, Xbox) all I have to do is press the button on the TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio and switch from my XBox to my computer without having to unplug the XBox. I am very please with this purchase.TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio (Includes 2x KVM Cables) TK-209K (Blue)

Customer Review: Just works
Summary: 5 Stars

Had compared the Amazon reviews on this and the Belkin product. Picked this one and have been very happy with it. Easy set up. Only problem I had was not connecting a video cable securely.

Have a new Dell laptop and a 5-6 year old no-name tower. The tower is USB1, creaky, and am connecting through a 4-port hub. Mouse is a Logitech cordless.

Switching to the new laptop is almost instantaneous. There is a 4-5 second delay on recognizing the mouse and keyboard when switching to the tower (no delay on the video). No info on the speaker part, as I listen to music from one machine and keep it connected, not switched.

I find the keyboard command to switch is not always recognized, so you will want to keep this where you can get to the buttons easily.

Customer Review: Works Great -- Much better than similar item which costs 4 times as much
Summary: 5 Stars

The TRENDnet TK-209K is an outstanding bargain. Works great and set-up was super easy. I use it with two laptops (one Dell, one Fujitsu), a Viewsonic monitor, and a Microsoft Wireless Laser 7000 Keyboard/Mouse bluetooth combo.

I purchased an IOGEAR KVM switch last week that costs 4 times as much and which I could not get to work with the keyboard/mouse. The monitor worked but I figured that I would just swap for the cheaper TRENDnet if all that was going to work was the monitor. I honestly did not expect the keyboard/mouse to work but it does. I am so thrilled that this inexpensive switch beats the fancy more expensive one and does what I need.

No, it's not pretty, and maybe cables are all over the place but it works. Which is what is really important to me.

Customer Review: Works with Wireless Keyboard & Mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

Thanks all of you who wrote comment about this KVM.

This is my first KVM switch and connected to my two PCs last night.
Worked excellent so far. If I do encounter any problem, I will update this comment.

Pros: You can connect any USB devices to KVM not only mouse and keyboard.

Cons: Supports only USB 1.1, so your USB 2.0 device will not transfer data at the full speed.
Cables are kind of short, but it is o.k. for me now.

Customer Review: Great little device
Summary: 5 Stars

It's great when something so simple and inexpensive works as promised. I bought this to hook up two laptops to one monitor, keyboard, mouse and external speakers. Straightforward, simple to setup. One laptop is on XP the other on Vista. The device only supports hard-wired keyboards and mice, so I had to abandon my favorite wireless MS mouse in favor of a wired on - not that big a deal. It has buttons on the device where you can switch between the two computers, but I accidently discovered that by hitting the 'num lock' key twice, quickly that this switched them - very convenient. Sometimes there is a pause as the monitor has to readjust to each laptops different video setting but this only takes about 3 seconds. Overall very pleased with this purchase.
