I got this product for the reader, but to get a 8 GB SD card with it makes it a truly great deal. The reader is wonderful -- it's compact, and it worked right away on my XP laptop. This laptop, by the way, wouldn't recognize my main reader (which accepts a wider range of cards), so I was pleased that it worked within moments of my plugging it in. It's fast, too. Love the compact size -- I can stick it into my camera bag easily, so I can easily transfer files, no matter where I am. I use it only for standard sized SD and SDHC cards, but it also takes the micro SDs, which is a nice feature to allow transfer of files from my cell phone.Customer Review: Very useful little gadget for mini-computers

I got this little USB to accompany my ASUS Eee PC 901 It is the perfect accessory. With a little legwork you can achieve the same functionality as a DVD drive at a fraction of the space and cost. With this little gem I was able to change the OS on my EEE while waiting to get my tires rotated! I have not had any problems with this item and I would highly recommend it!
The only drawback is that it is so small- it is easy to misplace. Don't put any sensitive data on it! I leave mine at home and only take it out when I need it.

I purchased this reader and card to use with my Canon Xsi.
Most computers with SD card readers will NOT read the SDHC cards.
This reader allows you to plug in your SDHC card into a USB port and access the card.
The speed is incredible! compared to the standard SD card. ( not all devices can use the SDHC)
I use the reader to conserve battery power on my camera, without the reader I have to use the USB cable to the camera and power up the camera to download the images off the card. The card was a bonus as I really wanted the reader, but the SDHC card is a class 6 (very fast) and I use it as well.

I do a lot of work on my computer with photos. I'm not a fan of the new IPhoto nor am I a fan of most camera software. This SD card with the card reader is amazingly easy to use. It saves me a lot of time when I transfer my photos to my laptop (drag and drop). I can also place these photos in other software easier and faster because I don't have to download them to the camera software and then export them to my desktop so then I can upload them to another piece of software (whew, that even took a long time to write). I highly recommend this SD card with card reader for the speed, ease and price.Customer Review: good value for the price

This bundle is great. The 8gb card has large capacity and works great. The speed it very good (records high quality videos and transfers to the computer in a much quicker speed than the old memory stick that I used to have). I didn't really need the card reader since I have the card reader in my computer already, but I keep it with my camera in case I need to download pictures to a computer that doesn't have the card reader built-in. It is fast and works great. The connection is also good, doesn't interfere with the computer case or anything else. Good purchase for a low price!
