Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 8 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card with USB 2.0 Card Reader TS8GSDHC6-S5WCustomer Review: Excellent product Summary: 5 Stars
Prior to purchasing this product, I read the reviews written by other customers. I wanted some reassurance because I had never heard of Transcend. Some of the reviews made me worry about the quality and reliability of this Transcend SDHC card and the compact card reader. Before I purchased this product, I took a look at the manufacturer's website. When the product arrived in the mail, I immediately used the card reader to download images from the SanDisk 4GB SDHC card that I had been using in my new Canon camera (Canon PowerShot SD880 IS). I inserted the card in the Transend card reader, plugged the reader into my Mac computer (PowerBook G4), the Canon browser utility immediately recognized it, and the download was fast and without any problems. Then, I inserted the new Transcend 8 GB card into my camera and snapped a couple shots of my messy desk. No problems with the card. The tiny USB card reader fits into a camera case. Great product.
Customer Review: No camera, or brains required Summary: 5 Stars
This little widget, to me, is more valuable than the bread slicing machine.
I recently purchased a new digital camera that uses the newer
SDHC memory card, and immediately found myself in a quagmire. Both of
my printers, that have memory card inputs, and Pictbridge capabilities,
would not recognize the SDHC card. Further, I had to on-line download
two major program files before the one printer would even read a Pict-
bridge connection. I'm old-fashioned enough to prefer the capability
to insert my memory card directly in the computer, with the option of
just loading the contents in to a file, that I specify, without having
some unwanted "Editor Program" maul it around. My compliments to Trans-
cend, or any other reader maker for providing me with that option!
Customer Review: Card works great with Canon T1i. Reader works Awesome!! Summary: 5 Stars
I was really only looking for a SDHC card reader. It seems all the SD card readers I have are uncompatible with SDHC. When I found this combo with an 8GB Class 6 SDHC card, I couldn't believe the amazing value!
I've since successfully used the 8GB SDHC card with my Canon EOS Rebel T1i Camera and have shot full 1080P videos (@20fps which is max for the camera) and it works just perfect. Videos recorded at 720P also work great. There's ZERO lag time.
The card reader has worked perfectly with my Sandisk 16GB Extreme III card as well. Performance is pretty good, but at 8GB or 16GB, any reader is going to take a few minutes to copy off that much data.
For what it's worth, I have been able to successfully connect the reader to Windows XP, Windows 7 RTM, Ubuntu 9.04, and Mac OS X 10.5.
Customer Review: A fantastic SDHC card and reader - Be sure and get both Summary: 5 Stars
I already had the card but didn't realize I needed the reader too. Should have bought this in the first place. The price is great. I have a new Canon SD-1100 and this card works just perfect in it. Fantastic pictures. It's fast and problem-free.
The reader is extremely good. Just plug and play. Uploads fast. Is quickly recognized in the computer. Only trouble is you might have a problem finding a handy USB port. Not an easy fit the way it's made. But not a big deal. I have a long USB cord that I use and it works fine. You might want to pick one up.
I highly recommend both the card and the reader. Best to buy them together. I bought mine direct from Amazon and got it one day after shipping --- a total of two days. Not half bad.

Customer Review: The reader is a bonus Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this from Amazon frankly because at $14.99 the price was right (a special offer they had out there for awhile). I already own a multi-format Transcend card reader, which, unlike many other vendor products, actually handles all card formats, so I figured these folks know what they are doing and this package confirms that. The SDHC card in the package outperforms the minimum standard for class 6 SDHC by a good bit, perfect for my Canon SD800 (gives me over an hour of movie time). The reader Transcend included in the package is a bonus, providing means for using up my collection of older and more capacity challenged SD format cards, particularly when I want to leave something with a client to take home to their equipment - beats giving up a thumb drive!
