Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 8 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS8GSDHC6Customer Review: 5 stars to Cameta Camera Summary: 5 Stars
I bought 2 Transcend 8 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card from Cameta Camera in Jan'09 for my upcoming Hawaii trip. I opened one and started using it. It worked great. However on the trip in April, the 2nd card did not work. I cursed myself for not opening the 2nd card right when I received it. But when I came back and called Cameta, they simply told me to ship it back and they will replace it. And they did mail me another card!!! I was like WOW!!! Even after 3 months, they did not ask a single question, no hassles and I got a replacement for no extra cost. All this on internet shopping?!!!
They just won a life long loyal customer!!!
Customer Review: Great Card - Fast Transfers Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product. The transfer rate from the card to my computer is a whole lot faster than an older, slower 1 Gig card I was using.
I have a SLR camera and tested this card against my slower card and the picture taking/recording rate was about the same. I think the newer DSLR cameras have a buffer so the speed of the card really doesn't affect the speed at which a few pictures are taken.
However, with a lot of pictures on the card, it's nice to have a fast transfer rate when I'm copying the pictures to my hard drive.
The 8 Gig storage is great. I can store over 2,000, 10.2 megapixel pictures on the card.
Customer Review: Happy I had it on vacation. Summary: 5 Stars
I chose this product because of a positive review that was detailed in the amount of capacity in terms of how many pictures AND how minutes of video. While on vacation I took A LOT of pictures and quite a number of video clips. I wasn't disappointed and thankfully so. This vacation was absolutely unforgettable and I wanted pictures and videos to add to the memories. I also had no problem downloading them onto my computer. The pictures are of high quality, which much of that is due to my Canon SD790IS [[ASIN:B0011ZK6OS Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom]. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
Customer Review: working so far Summary: 5 Stars
I have had a 4gb class 6 card from this manufacturer for over a year now and it is still going strong with steady use, so hopefully this 8 gb card will match it. Out of the box it works well with my Canon T1i. I also had a 4gb PNY card (class 4) labeled for HD video and it did not keep up with the 720p video recording the T1i was doing. This 8gb transcend class 6 card did make a noticeable difference in performance when recording video. With a lot of cameras now giving you the option to record in HD go with a class 6 or better from the get go. At under 20 bucks a good deal as most local retailers near me don't carry class 6 cards.
Customer Review: Works Like a Charm. Summary: 5 Stars
I recently purchased a Canon Rebel T1i and wanted a fast card to keep up with action shots. When I first got the camera I purchased some cards from Walmart that were a class 4, when using the continuous shooting mode the class 4 could only handle about 5-6 shots before my camera had to wait for the card to catch up. Today I put in this Class 6 Transcend card and it shot non stop for over 30 pics (I didn't want to keep going). I have never used the more expensive brands so I am not sure how this compares to those but for the needs I have and the price I paid this can not be beat. Shipping only took a few days too. Great product.
