Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 8 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS8GSDHC6Customer Review: 2 transcend cards in 1 year and both work great Summary: 5 Stars
May of 08 I got my first digital camera-a Canon SX100IS which I love. I researched sdhc cards on Amazon and decided on the 4 gig Transcend. It took me close to 1 year but I filled it all up with hundreds of pictures and quite a few videos. Not a lick of problems. I then ordered an 8gig Transcend card. So far I have roughly 300 pictures and a few videos on that one and once again, it works like a charm. I don't have a clue as to why some folks have problems with them. Remember to always format the card when you first put it in your camera to make sure of the compatability. I used low level format in both cards. I love these Transcend cards. They have worked very well for me and the read/write times are quick. Also, no problems at all downloading the pics and videos to my computer using a card reader. For the price these cards simply cannot be beat.
Customer Review: Big SDHC Card Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this card so I could take longer HD videos with my camera and replace the 1GB card I took from my mp3 player.
I needed a Class VI speed SDHC memory card with a fair amount of space. This product has what I needed, and works great. The only thing I don't like about it now is (my fault) that I cannot format the card directly from my XP computer. I accidentally pulled it out, without safely ejecting it first, and now it can only be read by the camera. I can still use it (and still like it), I just wish I had 'ejected' it before removing it. (Originally, my computer read the SDHC card just fine).
My advice, this is a good product, especially with the Frustration Free packaging from Amazon, it will work, as long as you always 'Eject' the card before removing it.
Otherwise I have no complaints, it works fine for me.
Customer Review: A "must have" Summary: 5 Stars
Recomendado ampliamente
Customer Review: Transcend-Flash Memory card - 8 GB, Class 6, SDHC Summary: 5 Stars
I haven't used it yet because the Panasonic video camera I bought to use it in has been severely backordered. It would be better when ordering a camera and a card from Amazon if I would get them both at the same time. What good is it to me to get the card 6 weeks prior to receipt of the camera. This is the problem with Amazon not stocking the card in their own warehouse and making me buy from a third party vendor. The probable good quality of this product is diluted by the hassle to get the item more conveniently. And, Amazon sends me an email weekly begging me to "review" this product that I can't review because they haven't shipped my camera! So Amazon needs to check what they're doing before bugging their customers. I guess this is about all I can think of to say about this. Maybe Amazon won't ask me about it again?
Customer Review: Great card at a great price Summary: 5 Stars
Prior to Christmas I found this card on [...] for [...] and it had so many great reviews, I bought three of them. When my hubby presented me with a new digital camera for Christmas (Canon SD880)which came with only a 32mb card, I was thrilled to have these 8gb cards on standby. Initially I got a memory card error but after reading the manual and formatting the card in the camera, it began to work immediately. After setting the camera to the continuous shoot mode, I was really amazed at how fast the card performed. As soon as I snapped a shot, I was able to snap immediately afterwards no beeping, buzzing or waiting. The Transcend card also did well when shooting in movie mode with my camera. I came here to price the 16gb card for my Camcorder, I cannot wait to see how great this card will be for recording as well.
