Absolutley no reason to spend more money on any other eight gig card as this does the job perfectly well. Using it to shoot video and 21m pixel photos on our new canon 5D MKII. I've only had these for about three weeks, but they seem to work well: data transfer is as fast as my Canon 20D can handle, and I haven't had any problems with reading data off them.
I can't yet speak for long term lifespan, but the seem pretty good so far!

I purchase this card a few weeks ago to load about 400 to 500 songs on it to use in my Nissan Murano music system. It has worked great and still has lots of room to add more. Writes slower than sandisk extreme III, but its cheaper and everything else is the same. Holds a ton of photos, stable and I love it. I was going to give it 4 stars when comparing to the SD extreme III, but it's not the SD and it performs to it's specs perfectly.
