Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 4 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS4GSDHC6Customer Review: Great card at a great price! Summary: 5 Stars
Transcend 4GB SDHC CARD (SD 2.0 SPD Class 6)
I bought this card to use in my daughters' camera for their trip to Ireland. It worked perfectly. Just make sure to format the card before using it in the camera (this helps to make sure that you don't lose your pictures).
Also, you will need a newer card reader to read this SDHC card. The card reader on my HP Pavilion a735w desktop computer wouldn't recognize the card, but an inexpensive, standalone Targus card reader did the trick.
Customer Review: Great value. Summary: 5 Stars
Do note that you check whether your device works with SDHC before you buy this card. (A lot of devices don't, and will only accept the older standard up to 2gb.)
I can't comment on the speed of the card, as my N800, for which I bought the card, doesn't allow the fastest transfer rates (which is also why I didn't bother looking around for the fastest Japanese build cards.)
If you have a device like the N800, this is probably the best choice for you, you'll get maximum performance, maximum capacity (at the time I bought this), for the best price.
Customer Review: Works great - Fast Summary: 5 Stars
Used in Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5.
Also used with cheap HD-SD adapter without problem.
The speed is great. I haven't clocked it but the camera said that it required 10mb/sec write speed to ensure that video would not suffer from dropped frames. Again I cannot give definitive numbers, but I recorded 5 min. of video stream without a hitch.
Special Note:
I saw a few reviews where people were reporting defective units so I set the camera to multi-shot and filled the card with jpegs and video to ensure that it was functional.
Customer Review: dont forget about SDHC compatibility Summary: 5 Stars
This card works great in my Cannon SD950IS and in my Playstation 3, but my computer doesnt recognize it. Im getting an SDHC card reader which SHOULD fix that. Unfortunately I already formatted the card in hopes of solving the problem, resulting in some lost videos. The card itself is great so far, with enough space for about 1500 superfine 12 mega pixel pictures on my camera. *** i just recieved my Sandisk MicroMate SD/ SDHC Memory Card Reader (White, BULK Package)from Amazon for about $3 each and this card now works perfectly with my pc.***
Customer Review: Bought these for $3.34 each about a year ago Summary: 5 Stars
Bought about 5 of these for $3.34(three.thirtyfour) each about a year ago.
These SD cards are reliable and am satisfied with the purchase.
I really can't tell the difference between class 2, 4 or 6 but I went for the higher class rated card.
However, in about a year these cards have become too small to hold data with the increasing amounts of data that I need to store on my digital camera/camcorder and I wish I had bought 16GB or 32GB from Transcend when they were cheap compared to today's prices.
