Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 4 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS4GSDHC6

Customer Review: Solid, reliable, and good price
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought four of these cards for use in my Nikon D80 on a recent trip to southeast Asia. They did exactly what an SD card is supposed to do, and the speeds are relatively quick and the capacity is good for the price. What more can one say about a memory card?

I know some people have had trouble with this (and other) cards crashing, and all I can say is that I have never had that problem with any cards (I have only used Olympus XD cards, and Kingston and Transcend SD cards), but that I am careful to reformat the cards in the device I am using before the first use, and then after every time after I download from the card. From what I have read, that is the key to keeping cards from getting corrupted and crashing.

Customer Review: I didn't order the item.
Summary: 5 Stars

I can't review the item as I have no idea what Flash Memory Cards are as I didn't order the product and returned it without opening it. I ended up with the Flash Memory Cards and not the book I thought I had ordered as Amazon provided incorrect information to the seller. Note to all: Check your order Amazon confirmation ASAP. This review process requires that in order to have my review posted, I have to rate the product. Even though I have no experience with the product, I chose to rate it a 5 so as to avoid any negativity around the seller, who was great at rectifying Amazon's error.

Customer Review: Excellent Card for the price! BUT DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an excellent SDHC card to have, fast and very reliable. I have used Transcend SD cards before and they are very efficient. Never had the problem of losing any data or pictures. FAIR WARNING THOUGH: MAKE SURE YOUR EQUIPMENT SUPPORTS OR IS COMPATIBLE WITH AN SDHC. READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL BEFORE SWITCHING TO THIS CARD. If your equipment is ONLY compatible with REGULAR SD (not SDHC), just stick with SD. Otherwise you might find out the hard way like I did. I still gave this card a 5-star because the compatibility issues was my mistake. This was compatible with my newer camera but not the card reader in my laptop and my older cameras.

Customer Review: ReadyBoost
Summary: 5 Stars

These inexpensive SD cards work as one would expect ... for the price. I've purchased 9 of these and I've had no problems using them in my 14 and 12 megapixel cameras. However if you wish to use them for taking advantage of Windows ReadyBoost, be advised that I found that only 1 out of 3 of the ones I received would work with this feature. The reason, I would assume, is that the speed rating system used for these are different for reading and for writing, with the importance on writing. So that even if they measure up to the writing speed needed for ReadyBoost, they may not be fast enough on the reading end of the requirements.

Customer Review: 4 Gigs - Class 6 High Speed - Low Price!
Summary: 5 Stars

This SD card works just fine in my Canon PowerShot SX100IS. I get 1117 shots at 8 megapixels, 1522 at 5MP, 2342 at 3MP, 3691 at 2MP, and over 9999 at .3MP. 6411 postcard & 1467 widescreen. Video shows 33 minutes 16 seconds at 640x480 30fps, 65 minutes 29 seconds on LP, and 92 minutes 16 seconds at 320x240 30fps. The camera shows the card as being 3.7 gigabytes in size after formating. As everyone else has mentioned, double check your device to make sure it can handle these newer SDHC cards. I also bought a Sandisk MicroMate SD/SDHC Memory Card Reader at Amazon, since my HP Deskjet won't recognize the newer SDHC cards. Works fine!
