Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Transcend 16 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card with Card Reader TS16GSDHC6-S5WCustomer Review: Great for my Canon XSi Summary: 5 Stars
This card is a great alternative to fumbling around with different sized cards. I just wanted this ONE to deal with so I decided to get this 16gb sized one. For example, I've already taken about 300+ pictures and I am still able to take over 2500+ pictures left on the card. I don't have to worry about it getting full right away or having to deal with downloading often if I don't want to.
It's fast enough for taking pictures on my Canon Rebel XSi DSLR camera. (I've had no "delays".) It's also decent when using the card reader for downloading onto my laptop. (I don't shoot RAW so I can't comment on that.)
It was well worth saving up for it.
Customer Review: Great card and reader Summary: 5 Stars
Upon buying a new dSLR camera, I found that my old card reader couldn't open new high capacity SD cards. Buying a card and reader combination seemed like the best solution.
Pros: - Both card and work fine, with no problems reading any card.
- The card reader has a nice, bright orange light in it to show you when a card is installed, and when it's reading/writing
- Even when shooting in RAW mode, 16 GB holds a *lot* of pictures!
Cons: - The price seems to fluctuate on these things all the time, so shop around
- Sadly, having a great card and camera have not made me any better of a photographer...Oh Well!
Customer Review: Fast & Reliable Summary: 5 Stars
User background
I've owned a couple transcend products previously (3+ years probably) and they still work to this day. I use this card to keep music, references, and more on my PDA.
Pros
*Fast!
*Everything came working perfectly & fast super saver shipping
*If the specs are right, this could last you a lifetime
*Lifetime warrenty! save your receipts
Cons
*Only conceivable con is that some sd card readers aren't sdhc compatible. But that's why you're getting the reader, too, right?
Final Thoughts
Fast shipping, product is in good condition, and Transcend makes A+ products.
Customer Review: Transcend 16GB SDHC Summary: 5 Stars
Have used this card several times with the Canon HF100. So far so good. No issues. At first I wanted to go with a reliable name brand like the Sandisk Ultra II card or Kingston but these were so expensive. After reading the reviews for this card used specifically with the HF100, I took the chance. Price helps you overcome a lot of qualms about things very quickly. The card is class 6 which has translated into fast speeds. I also bought an 8 GB Transcend card. Do yourself a favor, spend a little more and stick with the 16 GB cards (for convenience). Like I mentioned before, no issues with reliability and stability so far. I'm pleased.
Customer Review: EXCELLENT PAAKAGE - The adapter is a must if you have a regular SD Card Reader Summary: 5 Stars
I had purchased this for my Canon HF100 and highly recommend it. At first I wasn't sure about if I need the adapter but figured it was an added bonus. After trying to transfer the data on my 1 year old laptops built in multi-format memory card reader, I couldn't figure out why it was transferring so slowly. After looking at the readers specs it showed that it reads SD cards but makes no reference to SDHC (High Capacity SD cards). I had tried the transfer once again but this time through the included card reader adapter attached to my USB 2.0 port and the transfer was 3 times as fast. All in all for the price and bundle I would highly recommend it.
