I have finished more than three-quarter of the 100-pack spindle and I have yet to find a coaster. The thing with DVD's or CD's is that when you find a bad one, it seems to be bunched into the same stack as they were manufactured at the same place and at the same time. My recommendation is not to burn DVDs or CDs using the maximum speed, the chance of a bad burn tend to be much much less if you knock it down a bit. Same as filling up the data capacity, 4200mb seems to work best for me as filling up the DVD to the edge may become problematic.Customer Review: These are great!

What a steal is all I can say! I am a videographer, and I am always looking for "the best" blank media, for a good price. When you figure that you are paying less than 1/3 of the price of what you would pay elsewhere, you really would be crazy not to look into the great product. For those of you who are having problems with the DVD's, you are probably using them with lousy products. I use mine with my dual core imac, so they don't give me any problems.
Thanks Amazon, and keep this product, 'cause I will come back for more!!!

I'm more than half way through the stack of 100 copying old VHS tapes on a Sony dubbing deck. I've had two disks that would not finalize, and so far I don't consider this excessive. I have also used several as tests and played the same portion of several disks to see if ten(10) or more playings would degrade the recording-- no problem.
However, I am not throwing out the old VHS tapes! As an unemployed video archivist I'm not taking chances on old home movies.

Have been using TDK products for years (open-reel, cassette, DVD and CDs, etc). Their DVDs and CDs have been flawless over the years and appear to maintain top audio and video quality if handled properly. Regardless of quantity purchase (25, 50 or 100 pack); there may be one or two that is defective or unformatted. I highly recommend this product, and have recently tested Verbatim equivalents (somewhat cheaper); yet competitive and has stepped up it's quality control!Customer Review: Excellent Value

Great quality TDK-brand DVD-R's and excellent price makes this hard to beat. Just make sure you know if your player/s can play +R, -R or both. So far, haven't found any compatability issues. Shipping was quick and well-packaged (at least to NYC). No coasters to date. Only question is will burned discs store well - unlike many of the cheaper brands that aren't great for longer-term storage (some die within weeks/months and some die in a few years).
