These are great Disks, in the last 2 years I have burned over a thousand of them, not one coaster, I tried a lot of brands, but, I have not found another that is any better,and I have tried many different brands, and the price can't be beat.
The disks just work well and have plenty of room to write on, should you need to. I have burned all types of media, DVD, data and mixed content. playback and burning, has been flawless,this is true on computer burners or standalone DVD player/ recorders.
I am not a real technical person, and don't have expensive burners, just the average priced ones. So when I find products that are affordable and work well, I want people to know about them. I don't know all the "Tech Specs", I just know they work and save me money.
The only bad note was the shipping, the spindle broke open due to bad packaging, none of the disks were damaged, but Amazon needs to be more careful about the packaging.

Specially formulated with a rapid phase-change recording layer, TDK DEV-R media products maximize the data transfer rate while minimizing the potential for errors. The discs have been thoroughly tested and verified to outperform other media brands, which may rely on slow-reacting, error-prone phase-change materials. TDK AVIST metallic alloys change between crystalline and amorphous states in response to the heat generated by a laster for phase-change recording. The differences in relectivity exhibited by the alloy in its cystalline and amorphous states are read as data.
