Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Guitar Hero 1 Pro Jammin' ControllerCustomer Review: This thing is CRAP Summary: 1 Stars
Since I can't find the wireless version of this tragedy I am writing a review for this controller since appears to be exactly the same guitar minus the cord. When I opened the box I was impressed by the way it looks. I is much sleeker and shinier than the other guitar controllers available, but as soon as I picked it up I knew it was crap. First of all the thing is tiny and super light. As I was putting in the batteries the fret buttons and strum bar actually rattled around as I moved the guitar. I am an accomplished Guitar Hero player. I generally play the expert mode but since I wasn't used to the guitar I figured I would start off on hard difficulty. I made it through one song with this thing and was completely disgusted by the time it was over. The yellow botton does not have the raised line on it - it is smooth like the other buttons which makes is easy to "lose" where your fingers are. On top of that the fret buttons stick and the strum bar sounds like some kind of mad clacker - not to mention that it is so small it is uncomfortable to hold. I handed it off to my husband who played a couple of songs on easy before giving up on making it work. Then we put it in the box and took it right back to Target. Stick to the Red Octane/PS2 licensed controllers.
Customer Review: Worthless controller!!! Summary: 1 Stars
My wife purchased this for me for Christmas and was really excited for me to use it. Plugged it in, started with the 80's version of Guitar Hero, notes were slightly choppy to play (response time not accurate) but not horrible... accumulated my star power and with much effort, eventually got the Star Power to kick in. Thought maybe it's because of the version of Guitar Hero that made the star power difficult to engage... slapped the first one in and same problem. This time, when star power was accumulated, I literally took the guitar off and swung it around furiously in an attempt to activate my star power... eventually kicked in after I threw it on my couch (damn controller was lucky it was the couch and not the wall!). I'm 31 and LOVE playing the Guitar Hero franchise, however, this is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased... star power is a must and with the amount of effort needed to engage, it's not even worth the hassle. Stay away from this product!
Customer Review: THIS THING SUCKS, STAY AWAY. Summary: 1 Stars
Please, stay away from this piece of crap. I regret buying it and it is the worst possible thing meant for a game in existance. I'm obviously exaggerating but you get my point. I hate this thing and would return it if i could. But i can't, so i just let it sit in my closet.
The reasons this thing sucks:
1: The wammy bar is VERY loose.
2: The strum bar is clacky and gets stuck and is just hard to deal with in general.
3: The bottons get stuck and are really hard to press down.
4: The star power doesn't even work! I had to lift AND shake the guitar for it to even register that something is there.
5: Finally, it's too small anyway and it feels awkward.
So, all in all, just buy something crappier IF YOU CAN. Chances are it's better anyway.
Customer Review: Don't Buy It! Summary: 1 Stars
My girlfriend & I bought this thinking it would be a great controller. (I mean, look at it. If you play Guitar Hero, its hard to resist the temptation to get this). However, this controller is awful. The whammy bar and strummer are very loose. The fret buttons have a tendency to get stuck. Also, you have to shake it in order to use the Star Power. The funny thing is, as soon as we saw the box, we knew it was a "bootleg" item. I wish we had taken pics of the box but, trust me, as soon as you see it you know its a knockoff. Do yourself a favor and buy the guitar controllers from the makers of Guitar Hero.
Customer Review: it sucks. plain and simple Summary: 1 Stars
i bought it as a gift. didnt even think of trying it out before i gave it to them as a christmas present. come to find out, it was broken. i took it back home to test it out. only one of the fret buttons, the start button and the whammy bar worked. nothing else. i havent gotten around to calling the company but its the first thing im doing when i get the chance. spend the money on getting an offical guitar through red octane. its worth spending the $40-$60 for the controller. at least you know that one wont break on you.
