Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Surefire SF12-BB Box of 12 123A 3 Volt Lithium Batteries 12-Pack SF123A

Customer Review: Only Torch
Summary: 5 Stars

The LX2 is a small, light, ruggedly built and excellently well finished torch. It has a lanyard and a very sturdy clip that easily snaps into your belt or trousers.
It has two options for switching on the lights- a button on the back and a twist mechanism on the rear of the barrel. If the button is pressed to half a less powerful light is emitted and
if it is pressed all the way the strength of the beam is surprisingly bright and has a great throw. In the twist option, the strength of the beam increases as you progressively twist the rear of the barrel.
This ability to control the strength of the light is very helpful.
Though there is a warning at the front of the barrel, the area around the bulb gets hot quickly. At its price, a ceramic ring on the front of the barrel wouldn't have been too much to ask for.
It is a great tool and if you are inclined towards owning one good flashlight, this is the one.

Customer Review: good old Surefire
Summary: 5 Stars

With the number of high performance flashlights that Surefire sales it only makes sense for them to sell batteries, and at a good price. The 123A batteries you find at most super stores will normally cost you quite a bit more than the $1.75 a piece you will pay for these. You can sometimes find a bulk buy that works out cheaper per battery but you really don't know what you are going to end up with. With the Surefire batteries you are going to get a good price on well made, high quality batteries. Like the other reviewed noted though, Surefire actually sells these on their web site for $21 a 12 pack.

Customer Review: A little too early for a review...
Summary: 5 Stars

I am very pleased with the Surefire 12 pack 123A batteries so far...although I have not had to use any of them yet, as my current Surefire batteries are still going strong!

I was pleased to see that unlike others had reported with outdated batteries, these are very fresh, with a production date of 06/2010, so they will have a long (10 year) shelf life according to Surefire.

It's very convienient to have a 12 pack on hand, and the price was right. So far, so good...I'll try to update when I actually get to use a couple of these guys...

Customer Review: Fresh Batteries
Summary: 5 Stars

I just wanted to post a review to let everyone know that the batteries I received today had a Nov 2020 expiration date. I can't speak for batteries being shipped in the future but I can say that I received three FRESH boxes.

These batteries might be a bit more expensive but I think the peace of mind is worth it. I've never had any trouble with any surefire products. I sleep soundly at night knowing that when I'm battling the undead after the zombie apocalypse, my flashlight won't let me down.

Customer Review: Buy in Bulk to Save
Summary: 5 Stars

If you use a high performance flashlight, buying batteries over the counter can be prohibitively expensive. I've seen prices as high as $7 for 2 batteries. Get them by the box, from the manufacturer (Surefire) or your local gun store if possible and you will save money.

These types of batteries have a very long shelf life and can be difficult to locate in an emergency (i.e. after a hurricane or other natural disaster). Stock up and store them in a cool dry place.
