The seller shipped me an LG Slim External DVD/CD burner instead of the no name product in the picture. This came with plenty of documentation and software disks to install. I have an ACER Aspire 1 AOD250 10.1" netbook I installed this on. The only problem I had was I couldn't install the Nero software that came with the drive. The window was to large on the netbook to click install and couldn't shrink it down. I then downloaded the Nero 9 lite from the Nero website to get the same features as the software that was offered.
This drive works very well for installing software and burning cds. I haven't burned a DVD so I can't say how that functions. My netbook has Windows XP so I can't watch a DVD with Windows Media Player but COULD with the installed software that came with the drive -Cyberlink's Power DVD. The movie played effortlessly.
This was a good bargain for the price - although you're not guaranteed to get the same drive as I got -- I was just lucky I guess.
