I recently bought a new 52" hdtv to replace one damaged by IKE, when it came in I hooked it up with the old component cables, but knew the pic could be better. Comcast doesn't have HDMI outputs on their cable boxes so I needed this cable to go from DVI to HDMI, of course I went to Amazon to purchase it. It was delivered very fast, at a really good price. The difference in picture quality was amazing, and less clutter than the 3 component cables. If you have a cable box and want the best picture quality available (still only 1080I, Comcast hasn't improved past that), you need this. I also bought a fiber optic cable for my sound system, now only 2 cables do what it took 5 to do.Customer Review: Never pay high prices for HDMI cables!

Do NOT pay the crazy $70 to $150 for HDMI cables at the retail stores. These cables are EXACTLY the same.
In fact these cables even have an RF Choke on both ends of the cable.

I use this to plug my Xbox 360 into a ViewSonic monitor. To my delight and surprise, the Xbox 360 recognized that it was plugged into a monitor and gave me computer resolutions (1680 x 1050, etc.) rather than TV resolutions (720p, 1080i, etc.) which I thought only the Microsoft VGA cable did. I don't know if it's my monitor or the new 360 system update, but nonetheless I got more than I bargained for. Great price as well. Definitely buy this over the expensive Microsoft cable if you want Xbox 360 on your monitor. I have yet to try plugging in my Mac Mini into the HDMI input of my TV, but I'd expect that works as well. I bought this cable because my main workhorse desktop computer died on me. I had to take my multimedia computer out of the living room and set it up in the computer desk. The problem is that my multimedia computer only had VGA & HDMI out ports, and the monitor for my old computer only had VGA and DVI in ports. I tried to live with the VGA connection and cable, but the image isn't as clean, the colors don't pop as much. It was no way to live. Once you have such excellent image quality you can't go back. With this cable my picture looked almost good on the monitor as it did my HDTV. I would say it was well worth the money.Customer Review: 1080p with HDCP to a dell 23" S2309w monitor

I was able to use the cable to output full 1080p to a Dell S2309w 23 inch monitor from both my laptop computer and a Sony playstation 3. I am also able to view Blu-Ray disks at full 1080p from the ps3 so that proves it can handle HDCP. Great price on this item, why pay much more for other cables when this cable does it all? This cable is a DVI-D dual link 24 pin cable (as opposed to a single link 19 pins). The cable packaging says "DVI-M" which confused me -I'm not sure what DVI-M means but since it worked perfectly for all my uses I am extremely pleased with this product. The price is unbeatable.
