Customer Review: Great surface for gaming and regular mouse use.

No more going over the edge or the pad and getting the mouse caught on the edge. I bought it to use with my PC games, but I love it just for it's own merits! This pad is HUGE. I also put a corner under my keyboard and no problems. I play lots of games and this is great. I don't miss shots because I've gotten so intent on the screen,not realizing I'm almost off the mouse pad. The surface is smooth and yet soft. I love this pad. Makes a great surface to work with. If you need a pad for heavy mouse movement use, this is the one!Customer Review: Great Pad for the $$$

I absolutely love this mousepad. I used to have some 12" Allsop pad and it wasn't nearly as good (and it was $12). This has everything a gamer wants: large size, extremely smooth cloth surface, and a super non-slip base. Perfect for low sensitivity users. My MX518 mouse slides beautifully even with my semi-worn out stock feet. I will be upgrading to some teflon feet soon, so it should be even better. I recomend this pad for all gamers (with enough space for this monster that is). For $14, you can't go wrong.Customer Review: Fricken Huge, but fricken good

Overall it's a great cloth mouse pad. It works great with my Evoluent Vertical Mouse2 and I'm sure any other optical mouse. I've tried 2 and they both work fine.
FYI it's 16 x 17 inches. You'll need a lot of desk space to use this pad. Unless, of course, you use a mouse that's the size of a softball. I guess you could cut it in half or down to the size you want, but I'm going to keep mine huge.

It's not a typical sized mousepad, that's for sure. I don't see any advantages over a typical mousepad as far as the texture goes really, but it does protect a large area on my desk, which was otherwise wearing down from much mouse use.
This pad is thin, but stays in place with a layer of rubber beneath it. Works so much better than using a laser mouse on wood or metal, but that's a given.

The steel pad allows for better maneuverability because there is a lot more space to work the mouse. I purchased it for my son who has been gaming for many years. One of his chief complaints about conventional size pads was that he was forced to check himself regularly and this slowed his defensive moves.
The steel pad changed all that and his skills have improved tremendously. Great product.
