Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SteelSeries Siberia Full-Size Headset (White)

Customer Review: Gift for grandson
Summary: 5 Stars

The Siberia head set was exactly what he wanted. He wore it unconnected to anything while all of us opened the rest of the gifts.

Customer Review: Not very stylish, but comfortable and sounds great
Summary: 4 Stars

Despite what many reviews say regarding these headsets, they are not what I would call stylish. However, when I am listening to music or gaming I am not really looking to impress people so the styling is a minor point to me. The sound quality is good, if not just a little bit lacking in the bass department. With this, however, it is very easy to hear many sounds that were more subtle or not as noticeable with other headsets, which can be especially good for FPS or similar games.

The unit comes with two options for your cord length, 3ft (shorter than you think,) or more cable than most will ever need, looks like about 10ft worth or more. This amount of cable just sits on the ground by my computer and I worry about rolling over it with my chair, but it can be useful having this larger amount. The shorter amount is perfect for ipod or airplane length.

The headset is very comfortable to wear for extended periods and I have not had any issues with ear comfort.

One of my only real complaints about the headset is that it is an open style headset, so you will get a little bit of noise from your environment in your set. It is minimal but noticeable. It was actually mentioned before I purchased them, but it was difficult to get an accurate estimation of how much this would affect me. It would probably still purchase these again even with that drawback, however.

Customer Review: Great, but not if you have a "big" head
Summary: 4 Stars

Got a pair for my wife, and she loves it. Sound and build quality are good.

That said, I can't use them. Being 6'2" and with a reasonably large head, the stretchy adjustment strap gets pulled to the limit, which causes the bottom of the ear piece to lift or at least apply less pressure than the top, which feels weird.

Also, as a matter of personal preference, the ear pieces don't press against your head with much force. My wife likes that they don't press hard and thus won't hurt her ears over time, whereas, I don't want the headphones to feel "loose" (as compared to the Steelseries V4/V5).

Customer Review: Worth The Money
Summary: 4 Stars

Got it fast and have only a few things to say about it.
Pros:
Sound is amazing, after owning plenty of discount and even non-discount headsets when I switched to this Siberia I was in awe. Not only is the sound amazing but these headphones are very comfortable, on a lazy day I can sit at my computer for 8 or so hours, when I finally get up and out I won't even feel a difference.

Cons:
My only con is the microphone, apparently it is not much better then what my old $15 headset sounded like.

Over all I am glad I made this purchase and would recommend it.

Customer Review: Use this more for gaming.
Summary: 4 Stars

Yes this headphone is billed as both a gaming headset and for just listing to music, but if you are going to do the latter, make sure its in a quieter place. Don't use it from music only. That being said, its PERFECT for gaming. Its very comfortable. Microphone is very unique and works well.
