Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Speck ToughSkin Case for iPod nano 2G (Black)Customer Review: Good product, would be better with a couple of changes. Summary: 4 Stars
The ToughSkin does a good job of protecting my Nano. It is a tight fit, so it was a little difficult to put on and take off (if you need to take it off for any reason). The screen protector isn't glued in to the jacket (by design or because it was poorly attached) and it kept falling out as I was trying to put my iPod in. Because of this, I had fingerprints on the inside fo the screen protector so I had to take it all out, clean it, and work to get it put back in. But once it's all in, it's a nice tight fit. The navigation wheel isn't protected which is nice when you're using it, but doesn't protect the wheel from being scratched.
The jacket also changed the way the base fits into my docking station so that was kind of a pain, but I was able to take out the platic docking piece and the Nano fits just fine.
Overall I'm happy with the product and would buy it again.
Customer Review: Best protection you can get for ipod nano Summary: 4 Stars
Great protection for the ipod nano while leaving the hold button, wheel, and adapter port open and easily accessible. I use the toughskin generally only for running with my nike + ipod kit and both products are terrific! If you have an ipod and like to run I can't recommend both the toughskin and the nike products more!
Only reason I didn't give 5 stars however, is because the clear clip is a POS! The first time you clip it to anything you can feel the plasic bending to the brink of snapping right off. However, for me personally, I actually had a perfect black clip to replace that one with and couldn't be happier.
Customer Review: It does everything I need it to do Summary: 4 Stars
This cover works great! It looks good and fits very nicely over my iPod Nano. I can easily access the dial as well as the ports and switch. While the belt clip isn't the best I've seen, it's functional for light duty. I also like the hard plastic cover that fits over the display screen, which apparently is an Achilles heal for the Nano. The only minor drawback is the black rubber material acts as a static magnet for stuff like lint, dust, hair, etc. If you don't mind occasionally wiping this stuff off, it's no problem! Overall, it's a great value; it protects my Nano very well, and that's why I bought it in the first place.
Customer Review: Speck Toughskin Summary: 4 Stars
Got this for free with my IPOD Nano purchase. Unlike others whom have had fitting issues, I found this to fit the IPOD Nano very well. There is also a clear plastic covering to protect the screen. All inputs/headphone jacks work without clearance issues. The belt clip is very secure although if you carry your Nano inside your pocket, you might want to remove the clip adapter altogether from it before you place it on your Nano as it is very difficult to remove the Toughskin from the Nano once placed on. Caution: try not to smudge the Nano screen or the clear plastic screen protector before installation.
Customer Review: Its Good...but depends on the price you get it for Summary: 4 Stars
This product is exactly what it looks like. So if you want a tough I-pod protector without cating much about external looks, this one is for you. But instead if you want your Ipod to look cute and slim and dond mind compromising on a bit of scratches here and there , go for the silcon ones .
Again it also depends on how much you pay for this product. I got it for under 10 bucks , so I am happy. But I wouldnt recommend this if you've to pay more than 15 for this.
